    Oh Snap

I thought you were boycotting this company TA????

  • +6

Oh wait, it's going up!!! TA boycotting got us an extra dollar :)

  • +6

$15 you can do this DH

    • +6

Apparently the $13 off deal didn't gain enough popularity to reach its 1000 use limit whereas the $15/$20 off deals did. I think that is why they bumped it up by a dollar so that they kind for an equilibrium between enough people using the code and high enough offer.

Assuming that is true, if we boycott this deal then they may bump it back to $15 off.

  • Good to see it going up. Maybe we can get back to $15 off tomorrow night?

  • +4

With minimum order of 25$ + 3$ delivery fee, its not a bargain for me to order in my area. Wish they had 20$ off!

    • +1

      50% off not
      Good enough …?

      • +7

Still not a bargain for overpriced restaurant food, this is Australia mate! :)

        • +2

I got 3 large pizzas delivered for $11

        • @Danstar: Lucky that you have no/low minimum order value!

        • +2

Sounds like the area makes it not worth it. Around Neutral Bay in Sydney there is a good selection. I've been getting whole serve of curry, satay kebabs and springs rolls delivered for $5-7, it's enough for two meals

        • @clarky:
Which restaurant if you don't mind me asking?

        • +1

          @powerhammer: Stir Crazy Thai

        • OR Maybe the restaraunts in your area just suck?
          I got 2 calzones for $13 delivered.

        • +1

          @thedude23:
If you happen to live in Melbourne, anywhere within about 8 km of the CBD, these deals are SWEEEEET due to the sheer number of options available. Many Pizza/kebab joints have NO delivery fee, and quite a few of these same joints also have a very low minimum order. My local leb joint is loving the DH promos as much as me, cause they're doing pretty well out of it… It has also caused me to try a few different places I never would have tried otherwise. It reminds me of the AMEX 'shop small' thing a bit in that way.

I truly hope it ends up benefiting all concerned (i.e. DH and the actual participating restaurants), in the long run. It sure is 'working for me' right now!

        • @GnarlyKnuckles: Which ones? I can't see too many good ones, and I am in Fitzroy. Lots of places selling a tiny pizza for $10.

What is the leb place you mention?

    • Everything in my area (all 5 restaurants) are minimum $40 spend :(

      • Yeah tell me about it. Same story in my area. :(

  • Not sure why it says coupon invalid :(

    • From previous posts, you may need to change to a different restaurant. Try it.

    • You need to delete the app then reinstall it.

  • Well, goodbye pots and pans!

  • Thanks for sharing the deal, TA but I'm not gonna order from them anymore out of respect for you. Cheers!

  • +1

    No way! Its baaaaaaaack!
    Wow, thanks TA!!!

  • Are we able to use the $7 referral money with this?

    • +1

Not sure why he got down voted. It's a valid question. I believe the answer is no though as u can't stack codes.

  • For me its $8 for a large pizza delivered (now my 8th order over the last 3 weeks). Still cheap but on the border of being too expensive to be bothered to cook.

    • Exactly what D Hero is looking by running these promos - The threshold where people just don't bother cooking.

  • Minimum order is $20 I assume?

    • +1

The title didn't answer your question? Some restaurants have a higher minimum requirement but for the discount yes $20.

      • Sorry, have a massive cyst on the brain causing issues. We are just bashing paperwork now before the admission.

        • +3

Make sure you update your DH address to the hospital so the delivery man finds u.

        • +2

          @Slo20:

Nah, the room service is 'to die for'

  • +1

App really buggy for me tonight and crashed. Code won't work as it looks like it has been used as I had to restart the app. Grrr…

    • I have noticed as soon as I log in I can't look at a menu of any restaurant

      • when I contacted customer service they said make sure the app is updated!?

  • +3

Are we no longer able to select deliveries for next night any more ?

    • Yeah looks that way..

      • +2

So no pre-orders for future nights possible?

        • Never was able to pre order for another day using any of these codes.

        • +2

@Jared17: I was able to pre-order for the early ones…

        • @Sweet3st:
Yup my first order was able to pre order.

        • +2

          @lynx:
Thank god that's been stopped. Of course I'm not judging anyone for attempting to get it done smoothly when it was 'allowed', but it seemed to just cause major headaches for both DH and some of the participating food-joints. Peeps had cooked tea already, got wind of the voucher, decided they didn't want to 'miss-out' on the voucher regardless, then alls of a sudden DH were fielding 400 orders 'for tomozza'… not exactly 'cricket'.

So yeah… best these codes cannot be used for deliveries deferred to the next day, methinks, cause it was mainly causing problems all round; and the up-shot of that change in the TCs is that only dudes who can actually really make the best use of the deal (i.e. actually need it on the night) can use it.

I reckon the main reason they've made this change is due to the knobs who actually received their heavily discounted food on the day they ordered it, then complained to DH/ demanded that the same order be delivered AGAIN COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE the next day, because they'd in fact done a deferred delivery. Still, not as bad as publicly 'defaming' DH on the site by suggesting they should be banned I suppose…

An old adage about 'killing the goose that lays the golden eggs' springs to mind.

  • Dinner sorted.

  • +7

Ordered. Because boycotting for not honouring a leaked code is childish.

  • Thanks TA. Dinner sorted

  • +1

$16 for 3 large and a 1.25,,, really didn't want pizza but too hard to reject these offers thnks ta and dh

  • +1

    no more dinner outside, lol
    Rushing home now

  • Not working :(

  • Thanks TA!

  • Meat lovers on it's way, cheers ;)

  • +26

I see some of these delivery guys more often than some family members.

  • +2

When this promo is finally over, and I mean finally finally over, I'll be needing a cheap therapist

    • +10

I'll be needing a coronary bypass and fat guy clothes.

    • I'll be needing an expensive therapist (I'm precious like that)… AND possibly some lipo…

  • Cheers TA.

  • Seems they've changed policies - can't pre-order for tomorrow.

  • Trying a new pizza place. This one charges $5 delivery. Large seafood pizza cost me $12.90, I hope its good..

  • Thanks TA! Dinner taken care off for another night!

  • +2

can you use the code and pick it up from restaurant?some restaurant has very high min. order.

    • +3

I wish they would make this an option. Way too many restaurants with high minimum order and delivery fees on top for some of them.

    • anybody know or tried?

      • I've once called the restaurant and they have waived the delivery fees (cash refund) but I don't think there is a way around the minimum order

      • +6

i guess the idea of this company is to get it delivered, promoting the company Delivery Hero. the deal is not for "pickup Hero"

    • okay guys, I just check with DH, apparently you can pick it up from restaurant and get rid of delivery fees, however, min. spend is non-negotiable.

  • this deal was enough to make me sign up.

$22 for a couple pizzas, garlic bread, drink and wings instead of $36

was planning on having spaghetti on toast too!

    • +1

Following up from 40 minutes ago..

Pizzas arrived, the guy gave me a free can of solo, and the pizza is quite nice!!!

      Crusty Pizza Dandenong!

  • Every restaurant I try keeps saying the restaurant doesn't deliver to my area, even though it's filtered to my address and some are just down the road

  • +1

Only places in my area are Thai joints. Oh well :(

  • +1

    Tried… to… resist…

  • Does anyone know why they are only via mobile app? I don't want to download the app because they want to access all your info. Is there a way around this?

    • 'Fraid not. If you use a rooted android phone on KitKat or lower you can install Xposed Framework and then XPrivacy so you can control which permissions an app can use.

      • what is a rooted phone?

        • A phone that has access to system files. Try this if you want to root it. But you trust Delivery Hero enough to give them your home address and phone number anyway so I wouldn't stress.

        • @InfraRed: but it gets identity, contact list, access to camera etc. too!

        • @chocfrogs456: Oh you're right. Maybe try Shaws idea of downloading BlueStacks (an Android emulator). haven't tried it myself though

          http://www.bluestacks.com/download.html

        • @InfraRed: thanks for the info. so when it asks about the permissions on my laptop, what would it give it access to then?

        • @chocfrogs456: The permissions should only get the emulator details (I think it emulates a nexus 7). But it might get your laptop/computer camera…

        • @InfraRed: well ill give it a go, thanks. now its asking me to pay $2/month or download sponsored apps. are these easily deletable?

    • ADK could work? Or an Android VM? Or Bluestacks etc.?

  • Expired? Tried number times without success

Edit: my bad,,, didnt spend 20$

  • Cheers. Small Pizza, footlong garlic bread and a pasta for $12.90 delivered.

  • Thanks

  • Code still working as at 7.20pm.

  • +1

Regarding timely delivery what's everyones track record? I've only ordered once before, the 'tuesorry' coupon and it arrived 2 hours late. This was a pre-order so I hope it's not late this time. How about you guys?

    • within the hour, I think it depends on the outlet you ordered from - some places are better than others

    • I ordered for ASAP delivery from a Thai place, estimated time was 1 hour but the food arrived in about 40min.

      • mine said 1 hour too but got it after 35 mins.

    • +1

I've ordered a lot now Each time been told an hour. Longest I've had to wait was 40 mins. Usually around 25-30mins. It really just depends on the restaurant. I used to work in a pizza place and we used delivery hero, standard for us was to put in an hour time as the confirmation and it always got delivered before that.

  • +1

When I use the app I get - "Address is not within delivery area". While from website I have order from the same place…
Tried a few different places and get the same error…

    • I get same thing constantly on app, tried with 2 different addresses too.
