bought this Philips light bulb that says it can last up to 15 years, and is LED energy efficient, but lo and behold, after using it for no more than a month, it dies! what can I say? and don't think it's anything to do with my electrical currents overloaded because i tested another light bulb - some Mirabella brand and it seems to work…? by the way it's Made in China lightbulb.

What is not made in China these days…??
I have one and it hasn't died out on me for a year. It is made in China as well, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the product.
Sometimes goods are faulty. Take it back to the shop, even if you have lost the receipt.
Bought a $6 light bulb from Bunnings once and it lasted just 2 weeks! I threw out the receipt as well.
See if you can get a refund.
went to woolies and got another light bulb, so it was alright.
Go and buy the same bulb from the same shop, install the new one, put the old one in the box and return it as faulty. Done :)
return it with the receipt to where you bought. one month is not reasonable.
