    Most heaters convert 1:1. (Power in, heat out)

    The only efficient heater is a reverse cycle A/C which draws heat from the outside.

      Yup, so they're 100% efficient. Which is not very efficient.

      They'll heat a small bedroom ok, but they don't have a fan to circulate the hot air, so position matters - best placed under a window. I wouldn't bother in any room much bigger than 4x4m If you put in an open plan area, I don't think you'd even notice it was there.

      I have a similar one in my bedroom which is largeish with open walk-in robe and open ensuite bathroom. It takes the nip out of the air on WA winter mornings, but not much more than that. Maybe 5 degrees up. From memory, I paid around $150 for one with a remote.

      This looks to be about half normal price.
