Was looking around officeworks and noticed this wifi range extender on special
Seems like a pretty good price for a Dual band range extender and I think it will work much better than the netgear single band extenders Which I have been using and are useless.
There seems to be limited stock available so your best bet might be to price match somewhere like HN or JB.
Belkin also states lifetime warranty on the product
RRP is $96
I got a similar one for around $50 about a year ago…
Well you must have gotten it on special because you can't get this anywhere else for under $50

Does this amplify the existing signal under the same SSID, or does it create another SSID?
i am pretty sure you can set it to amplify using the same SSID and password as the modem router so your devices automatically connect to the range extender when its signal is stronger
Be aware that Range Extenders does drop the actual traffic by half. That is if you have a wifi modem and a range extender, the device connected to the range extender can only use 50% of the speed than devices connected to the wifi modem.
Don't go too crazy about getting an extender unless you really needed one.
