The actual model number is the A1PRO and there's not much feedback on the Interwebs about these.
Though their larger (50mm) and more expensive cousins, the noise-cancelling A5PROs seem to get solid reviews and lots of praise indeed.
These A1PROs honestly look like the Philips SHL3300 (much cheaper) with different materials (both of which are DJ-themed, on-ear/supra-aural cans with high input wattage and swiveling ear cups); even the specs are nearly identical. I'd also expect them to be very uncomfortable for anything longer than an hour, just like the SHL3300s and their high clamping pressure.
Not sure how Armin would wear them for 2hr+ sets then!
What makes you think Armin even knows about these headphones? More likely, his agent and minders make these whoring deals.
Armin's getting paid whether he wears them or not mate. They've got his name on them. I don't think he gives too much of a shyte.
I must admit, I do sometimes wonder about earphones designed by people who spend a lot of time immersed in music at very high volumes. Would their hearing not be damaged, such that any earphone which sounds good to them would sound awful to someone with undamaged hearing?
