Here's a different idea for a Mother's day gift - a night off from the ironing. be iron free is having a gift card sale with the coupon 25% off. You can buy the gift card online and have its sent directly to your email address or someone else. Gift cards have a 1 year expiry date.

Unfortunately we only service Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and CBD but if you're interstate and have a parent who lives in this area you can buy it for her.

    Surely you're kidding ???

I reckon it's an alright gift, and 25% off is a good discount - just not sure of the starting price. $55 for 1 basket.

Also, OP - you might want to fix up some spelling/formatting errors on your site.

"Please note gift cards are munually generated pdf "

FAQ - "Who uses an ironing service? Al different types but mostly people who hate ironing or don’t have time to do ironing. We service families, couples, retirees and business. If you have ironing you can’t do or don’t want to do then give it to us,w e love ironing.

JV, you must have been really shocked by this because I would have expected a "Price in title" first post from you!

        I'm mortified

    • Yeah. runs off to find a cheap iron to buy instead

My wife has had the night off ironing since we married….hmmm now that I think of it before we married she did iron…dammit I've been caught by bait & switch…Does the ACCC handle marriage complaints too?

    How sexist.

    • Probably, but statistically it's focussed on the correct demographic.
This is a few years old but still very relevant i'm sure. http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/[email protected]/Lookup/4102.0Main+Fe…
If something like this is statistically true does it make it sexist? This is not a smart ar$e question by the way, i'm actually curious what people's opinions are.
Having said that, i'm not sure how many mums would go when told by their child that 'they've been given the night off from the ironing' as a mother's day present :-/

Btw, i'm one of those people who hate ironing and pay someone to do it for me…so had some interest in this post beyond the ad's targeted audience.

+1. "Be iron free." Who invented this idea that we need to be wrinkle free? Can't think of a bigger waste of time. Damn peer pressure at work to iron clothes, else I would happily go wrinkled (but clean).

      • +1

And pants! who said we had to wear them, I dream of a wrinkled pants free utopian society of coming to work in wrinkled shirts and comfortable jocks.

  • So.. how many items is a basket (if I need to specify, then let's say 100% business shirts)

  • Unfortunately I hate ironing ALMOST as much as I hate wasting money, but not quite.
