Don't waste your money, you will likely end up buying a replacement. The wires are very thin, not to mention the whole width of the cable is concerning. As mentioned in the other thread the wires are solid core which are designed to be in walls and not to be moved.

I've tried about 5 different cables from Aliexpress that look like this. They probably all come from the same factory. With ones 2 meters and over I've had problems with 1080p and interference. I'm doubtful they would cope with the full HDMI 1.4 spec which allows UltraHD at 30hz.

My tip would be to find ones that look different to this, or find cables that specify a higher gauge (or any at all), or buy from a local supplier like Selby or Msy. For cheap cables local suppliers are like a dollar or two more but offer MUCH faster postage and easy returns.

Also avoid cheap no-name Chinese LED bulbs. They are death traps, and another waste of money as they go bad fast.

    • The other post was very popular and there has been no bad feedback at all about them not working or poor quality.

      • The comments are closed. We don't know how many people bought them through the deal or even how many had a OzBargain account. Even if they last half a year that means you have to get another one.

Fair enough, guess we might get some feedback here then.
I have bought a couple from here and they are still working, never had any of my hdmi cables wear out.

  • There's a couple other versions of HDMI cable on the site for around the same price.

I'm tempted to try this one which at least specifies 30 AWG wire (seems to have a braided cover, so won't be ideal if you're looking for thin cable):
