    • There's a difference in RAM? I actually didn't know that, so that'd mean the versions offered(e.g. voda) are actually worse then. I just kinda assumed they sold the regular version.

      • Yeah the imported versions come with 3gb versus the local 2gb version. If it's anything like my note 4, these phone's with the QHD can nearly use 2gb without anything running. Probably why so many people complain about lag with the 2gb model.

  • What is the plug type for the AC charger? Is it an AU plug or does it come with an AU adapter?

Bought this yesterday as they had a 24 hour deal.
Now I'm wondering if the LG would have been better.

    Anyone have anythoughts?

    • Sorry.. but the LG would be much better.
      And about the same price??!!

Be very careful if dealing with eGlobal-read the online posts and don't assume you will be OK.
I bought a camera (waterproof Canon)from eGlobal with a 2 year extended warranty and just after 12 months it failed. They were very difficult to deal with for the warranty claim right from the word go. They certainly had no intention of honouring the warranty they offered and lied and cheated and never even returned the failed camera despite me paying for them to do so (more fool me). They even sent me images of my supposedly damaged camera only it was a different colour. They are the most dishonest company I have ever had they displeasure to deal with.
Oh and forget about the consumer protection organisations in Hong Kong they are useless-all they do is send a letter to the company who then ignore it and that it as far as they go.
I would never ever deal with them again and would not even buy from another Hong Kong based company without a presence in Australia.

Just as I was about to buy this…. Has anyone else had a bad experience with eGlobal? I've heard the after sales service is terrible.

  • Bought one last Sunday, arrived 4 days later. This phone is great compared to my old HTC One XL, was worried it will be too big, but it is light and 5.5" doesn't feel too big.
So far no luck with the 4G LTE connection though, I'm on Virgin using Optus yesinternet APN, can only get 3G, 4G blinks on/off, never stays connected. Any thoughts?

Did you set the AP correctly? The settings are on virgins website. I had the same issue but after adding the settings it is fixed.

thanks. i've looked on their website, apparently to use 4G you need to use the yesinternet APN, which is the one I'm using. Will try again tomorrow, maybe it's just this tower here…

  • hmmm. Still at the bargain price. I think I'm in.

  • Has anyone received their G3? Is it sealed?
