Wasteland 2 - $19.99USD @ Humble Bundle

100

I've been waiting for this to drop for a long time. This game was incredibly popular on Kickstarter and has really held on around the $40US mark.

https://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/ for details of the game.

If you loved the old isometric RPGs of yore, with about a million different ways to play, all set in the depressing alternate post-nuclear universe of Fallout, this is for you. In fact, it was the precursor to the entire Fallout series.

So very strongly recommended.

definitely not the lowest, paid $17.05 AUD for the ranger edition back in nov 2014 from G2A.com

Apologies. I am using Enhanced Steam which claims that it is the lowest price ever.

Lowest price ever which isn't from a shady grey market reseller. Can always get games cheaper if you're happy to use resold Russian keys and buying off people who make a living from buying Humble Bundles for 1c and reselling games for pure profit.

Anyway, this will get the free upgrade to the GOTY edition when it is released later this year, so good deal.

      • Are you saying G2A.com is shady?

It's just a marketplace for game keys, and it doesn't keep very good track of where the keys came from - they could be

          • Russian, Polish or Ukranian keys being resold at a huge markup
          • Bundle keys bought at the minimum and sold just below normal market prices
          • Stolen goods
          • Bought on stolen credit card numbers

etc. The keys have to have come from somewhere and it isn't directly from the publisher - so I guess you have to decide how comfortable you are with that. I figure that if I'm buying a game and not pirating it, the publisher and developer should be making the money, so I prefer to go through other stores.

On top of what batiudrami has already said, developers like inXile are deserving of our support. They demonstrated genuine appreciation for the support from their fan base and therefore should be supported back in kind by the people who buy their games.

Feel free to stick it to the big developers like EA/Activision who only care for nickel and diming their customers to death with endless DLC and rehashes of the same games over and over again (COD/BF), but some game devs are better than that.

  • Awesome game, just be prepared to spend approximately 80 hours to go through it once. Lots of content and with the 80 hours you are going to spend on it you would have only finished something like 40% of the game's quests.

Dont expect much when it comes to graphics, game play is really fun if you like old school fallout 2 style game play. The script writing is amazing really good detailed and funny writing.

As an original backer of this game, I say everyone should buy it ;)
If you were a big fan of Fallout 1 & 2, Baldurs Gate, or Brian Fargo then this is the game for you.

Disclaimer: inXile Entertainment did not pay me for this endorsement.

  • OMG I can't keep up with all the games i'm buying.. but i've been dying for a good RPG for awhile to dig into.
