Best Dual-Sim Phone?

Hi Guys,

I am using two mobile phones at the moment, one my personal phone and the other is a company phone. It's become a real pain having to carry the two around and would prefer just the one. I have managed to find an alternate solution, which requires me to purchase bluetooth SIM transmitter that connects to my phone and enables multiple SIMs, which can be inconvenient.

I'd like to ask for some recommendations or advise to purchase a Dual-Sim phone. I've done some scouting online but cannot decide.
Which phone would you guys recommend?

Thank you :)

  • mate 7. Simply for the battery and cat 4 (not 6 on the simple sim version)

  • I was searching for dual sim phones, yesterday i did buy one Meizu M1 Note its half price of other phones and fast as others, it is competing with xiaomi, i find out that meizu is good for me.

  • ZTE Blade S6. Mind you i just returned on to JB HiFi due to rebooting issues…

  • What about dual active, L850 // L700. Is it an option .. yet ?
I suppose dsda, L850(vha)+U850(TLS) might be next best.

  • am thinking the same Q as you.

Will both Sims work at the same time?

    • Yes. I have a super crappy china dual sim phone right now. but crappy old phone has nothing to do with dual sim functioning.

the dual sim can allocate and detected which sim network contacted you or you want to call out.

helps me to sort out in advance what kinda of incoming call when ringing.

ISA ET100 T45 4.5inch MTK6589 Quad Core Dual sim Smartphone. I don't even think this phone still available in the market…bought this 2013 from ahappydeal 50% special promo ad from OB AUD $125ish

  • i got the elephone p6000, pretty good. $150aud
you set the call, sms, data preference as: sim 1 / sim 2 / ask me first
    easy!

    • The elephone looks really good (specs etc.) for that price. How is the performance so far? Also - i'm not too sure if it supports Telstra's 3G service, that's the only downer :(

      • i'm on optus, so i can't confirm, sorry! it's not bad. pretty quick, stable etc. haven't noticed any issues yet

  • I'm also looking for a dual sim phone up to $400. can't find anything which really grabs me. Has anyone tried a dual sim adaptor for a regular phone? Husband has the nexus 5 which seems to be a good solid phone for price. Not sure if dual sim adaptors would even work eith a phone that takes a micro sim, and even if they do, are they very glitchy?

  • I have the Moto G and Moto G 2nd gen great phones. I have a 32gig micro sd in the 2nd gen loaded with music, movies. My camera broke down day one on a recent trip and the camera on the phone was good.

I have the Moto g and the MotoG 2nd gen. really happy with them just did a trip to Colombia and USA and they worked well. I have a 32gig micro sd card in the 2nd gen and seem to use the phone more now than my Nexus 7

  • Grab a MotoG XT1068 (2014) in the eBay Hump Sale for a $50 Voucher.

Possibly Asus ZenFone 2 ZE550ML if you want a larger screen.

    • Does the phone support 3g on both sims, or just sim 1 and sim 2 is 2g?

      Thanks

      • MotoG XT1068 is Dual Standby 3G from what I understand.

The Asus has 4G capabilities if that interests you.
