  What's wrong with using the included PS4 USB charging cable?

    You'd have to have your console on, and would have one of its USB ports taken up by the charging cable.

    I'd actually recommend the official Sony DS4 Charger… it charges 2 controllers in less than a couple of hours. The controllers slip in and click in nicely via the ext. port (not where the micro usb cable goes). Fast and easy.

      Cheers Graffin, I didn't realise I was charging my controller wrong (put console to sleep, then plug in the controller)

      I know this is old but just wanted to share, these click in via the ext. port just like the official sony dock.
