  • is the Galaxy S6 part of this? It says click to collect on it's page.

  • Hmm… Dick has raised the prices on the eBay store? The Garmin Vivosmart fitness bands on sale in their catalouge this week (page 9) for $149. On the eBay store they're being sold at $151.21. I know its not much but $149 is the price that they're being advertised at…

I asked why eBay price was more expensive than DSE online price and this was the reply:

Due to different marketing activities via different channels, prices can differ.

$30.95 for the Sennheiser CX300ii seems pretty good, a couple of stores had stock from my quick search.

    • Mate you should post it as a deal!
I picked them up for $37 from DSE before and I thought that was good for 2 year warranty @DSE, the ebay sellers are around $31, claiming they are genuine

      • ceebs, too lazy, do you want to do it? :)

Really good price on the Logitech M570 (giant ball mouse), $43. Cheaper than anywhere else online.

anyone tried this? Not sure what they meant mount only. If only mount, how to use it without their other stuffs (like placing an iphone 6 PLUS)…

    • This is the mount for inside the car. You have to buy a case to use your phone with the mount. The mount is simply just a magnet. The hard case sold separately for different phones. It has a metal at the back so it will stick to the mount if you use your phone with the case.

Tried a few items with super cheap auto, I know for a fact that the items are instock at my local store but are showing up as out of stock via ebay.

    What a joke

    • Was dealing with Dick Smith and Getting the exact same issue… Tried multiple stores and keep getting the same message.
"One or more of your items are not available for pickup at the store location you selected
Try selecting a different store location
Select a postage method to have the items delivered instead"

      • I just checked a number of postcodes and even capital cities and not a single store as stock for the item I want.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201278410319 despite instock via SCA website and instore.

    How is this laptop?
    $799 —> $679 —> $665 after cash rewards and 15%
Similar specs to the dell refurbs but price is a bit higher (iirc) for a new laptop rather than refurb

Is anyone else getting the impression that Ebay is using "shopping centre tactics", ie letting the big brands in for free/subsidised while the little guy pays for it all?

thx got a pioneer ddj for under $200

    • same here, DDJ-SB for $195 is pretty sweet.

      • yeah cheapest anywhere… they were selling it instore for $325… even pioneer are selling refurbished ones for $299…

        • They have it for $230 on their site (which is also a pretty good deal). I was just about to checkout when I figured I'd hop on here and see whether there were any discount codes. :D

Fitbit Charge HR was $169 yesterday before discount but now it's gone up to $199 before discount.
Guess I'll stick with the Charge for $109 after discount.
Pretty annoying if you ask me, and poor form on DSE's behalf.

Just to mention, Masters is owned by Woolworth, who sales half-year old apple according to my lecturer. b/c they layer wax over the entire apple so it doesn't gone bad.

    • +1

Petty pointless statement there. Do some research yourself if you are a student. In my lecturing days you would get a fail for that.

Your lecturer is correct about old apples. But that applies to all Australian apples, not 1 chain selling them.

Don't think we wax apples much in Australia, unlike some counties. Apples produce their own wax, to preserve the water content. Some wax is lost in washing, so may be replaced.

Apples don't grow year round. In my area, apples are picked near the start of the year, put into Controlled Atmosphere storage (CA) for many months, then often taken out to Cold storage ready for market.

I used to sell tons of apples a day. Only a few months a year can they be considered any where near fresh. Better grow your own if you're so concerned.

    • Your computer science lecturer needs to be sacked

  • Thanks OP. My first headphones purchase this year. I bought Aerial7 Tank Storm for $21.52. Yet the Dick Smith website offers them for $129 and I think I spotted them in their Chatswood Westfield branch in February for $149. I couldn't resist the 57mm drivers. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. At least it will be easy spotting me from a helicopter.

  • This deal is useless when used with Supercheap. Wanted to buy 5 litres of Gulf Western Outboard Oil, and a 5000kg snatch strap. Go through Supercheap website, both products available at three local stores. Go through eBay, both identical products out of stock at same three stores.

Dick Smith has removed all the Beats headphones from their eBay store apart from the PowerBeats 2 which they have increased the price on.

    • +1

Call the store if they still haven't emailed you after 24 hours.

  • Click and collect isn't working for anything for me for dicksmith.

Operation timed out, please try again in a few minutes.

That was half an hour ago. Anyone else having the same issue?

  • Any suggestions for cordless phone?

    • send it back in time to 1997
