Is there a code for free shipping ? I am still getting charged shipping for the Seagate Hard disk.

    Good deal btw !

    • check again, should work now :)

      • Thanks worked fine :)

I realised PLE sold at a previous post and sold out. Do you think this is now going to be the base price for this hard drive ?

Planning on buying two more once I get rid of my NAS.

        • Base on our current cost, i would say it's a promotion price.

  • Any good deals on standard sd cards

    • Sorry bwatt99, i only have the MicroSD + Sd adapter on offer today :(

"Speed2: Class 10: 10MB/s min. data transfer rate"
Is that a good transfer rate?
this is class 10 aswell and transfer rate is 48 MB/s

    • +1

Speed isn't linear, the other card is saying it's max speed is 48MB/s, which will be in ideal conditions.
Just a marketing move. They'd have to show the speed test results to gauge which is better.

      • +1

In fact, the Samsung one is UHS-I. Most readers (especially in phones) still aren't UHS-I-capable and will only manage ~18MB/s from what I've seen.

UHS I (and II) are completely separate protocols.

Anyone know if the 64gb is a good choice for a galaxy tab s? Mainly concenrned about speed.

Still charging for shipping for MicroSD card

    • should be fixed up - can you try again?

      • Still charging for shipping on MicroSD

        • Have you put in your postcode in the shopping cart?
i didn't see any issues since the fix and orders went thru fine.

          cheers
          SE

        • Working now, I had to remove it and add it to cart again for the price to update. Cheers.

        • @Mattapie:

          No worries :)

  • -1

Same here, you think they would have their system setup & working for free shipping before they posted the deal.

Nice work rep. I'm hanging for Samsung EVO+ microSD deal though, had some not so good experiences with Kingston SD cards corrupting in the past so I try to avoid them (personal preference) but that 128gb is a good price

    • +1

      Kingston have lifetime warranty

      • After 30 years, if Kingston MicroSD breaks, will Kingston or Shopping Express still be around to honour the warranty?
And at that time, probably they do not have 32GB MicroSD any more, will I get 32TB MicroSD instead?
Or MicroSD might not exist any more, will I get NanoSD instead?

        • Probably Kingston would have been sold to another company or become obsulete and you won't be able to track you're warranty

Imagine if Panasonic or Sony gave out lifetime warranties.

I was just replying to the above comment as the card became corrupted in a short timeframe

I remember when my wife bought a Nokia phone with GPS and lifetime maps

      • I usually just turf cards that corrupt, the Kingston SD in question was a MSY special years ago….not worth the effort to return etc. The only other brand of card I've had issues with have been Sony, I break the plastic shell on those (3/3)

Also keen for some EVO deals, specifically a 32Gb micro if you could :D

If you can't wait then Shopping Square discount often http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_411952_Samsung_32GB_EVO_U…

        • is shoppingsquare reliable? i've never used them.

        • @teeo:

Have only bought hdmi cables from them which are ok

        • @teeo:
I have used them in the past, my only issue is you have to be careful to take note if they are shipping locally or from HK

        • @aim54x:

yeah, it says shipped from australia on the page.

        • @teeo: Then you should be safe and should be able to expect reasonably quick shipping.

        • @aim54x:

          thank you!

  • Any possible better deal for the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD?

      Can you try again?

      cheers

      • I got it to work by selecting delivery to other than billing address and putting the same address as my billing address in that section.

Any one with experience with these microSD cards on huawei Y550 phone? Do they work well?

    Seems like a good price.

    • +2

Yes, I put one in my wife's Y550 about 5 weeks ago. Works perfectly.

      • Cheers

  • Hi Rep
I don't have PayPal. Can i pay by Debit card?

      1. You need to first choose paypal as option
      2. When you are re-directed to the paypal screen, instead of choosing to pay with your PayPal account, select the option to pay with a debit or credit card.

If it doesn't work, it might mean your debit card is not accepted.

      Cheers

Seagate NAS 4 TB Drive for $210 @MSY this weekend

  • Hi Store Rep,
Does the Kingston 32GB Class 10 MicroSD come with the complete original sealed packaging? Thanks.

    • Yes - All in Retail packaging with Australia Manufacturer's warranty.

  • Thanks, just purchased the 32GB microsd

  • 8TB?!
Actually available, in Aus, and delivered for $309… The world's gone crazy!

I've got a desk drawer FULL of drives, all full of content. To think that 3 of these drives would empty them all… Mad

  • How about a deal on some Synology NAS boxes to put all these drives in :)

    • Just added - 10% Off Synology NAS when you buy any of the Seagate drive above.

  • Awesome deal. Too bad I'm not looking for a hard drive. Any good deal for video cards?

    • Yes, which series are you looking for in particular

  • I'm getting paypal errors, I can't pay with paypal and it advises to contact you by phone ?

  • Hey Rep - you got any good upcoming deals with the Lenovo/IOMEGA 4 bay NAS? Ta..

  • Is Kingston or sandisk better for micro sd cards?

    • Kingston are the grand-daddies of RAM. The family next door. Were all about compatibility & reliability - never speeds. Lifetime warranty.

Sandisk… almost same thing, but memory cards, and speed.

    • I've got many MicroSD cards - majority Sandisk and about 4 Kingstons. Two 32GB kingstons have died on me (50%!) whilst Sandisk has never failed.

  • +1

    SanDisk without a doubt

  • Can you do any specials on SanDisk Extreme Plus 32GB MicroSDHC Card 80MB/s? or the 64gb

  • +1

Thanks for Ozbargain in supporting the deal today, i'm going add on another special for you guys:

Buy any Seagate Hard Drive in this deal and get 10% OFF any Synology NAS on the website.

Discount will auto apply once at checkout once you buy the Seagate Drive & Synology NAS

  • Hi SE rep, already got a micro sd from your prev Kingston sale, was a good sale and impressed with quick shipping.

Any chance of a GTX 970 sale? I'm in the market for one

  • Any chance on the wd red drives instead of the Seagate? Just prefer that for my NAS.

    • Look out for the LCC if you go WD RED

  • Is the deal still on? I got the discount price but I'm getting charged for microSD card delivery as well

    • same here

    • Hi Latino,

As per showing on the post, this deal has expired.

      • Damn, was after the 32GB card. Any chance of a free ship code?

      • +1

T'was a bit confusing. It's not clear the the deal here was actually for free shipping on the products above which also happened to be discounted with the other promotion you were running ending today.

Thanks for the deal. It's my first purchase from your store.

  • Dammit. Wanted to get a 8tb drive but now no more free shipping. Deal expires midnight tonight as well.

    • tick tock

      • Bought it soon after my last comment. The shipping was $9.25 but I guess it was better then paying an extra $50 at PLE.

  • As Stingo says that was confusing. I spent the last 10 minutes of the sale trying to get the free shipping to work on 2 of the 64Gb cards but couldn't, and sadly missed the deal as it expired.

    Oh well. :-)

  • I received my 8TB drive last night. It spins up with a distressed scraping noise and spins down a few seconds later. Windows thinks it is a not-initialised 3.8GB drive. I hope that the Shopping Expresse DOA warranty return process is good.
    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/view/buy-cheap-online-aust…

It looks like I will be out of pocket for the return shipping :-(

  • Dang, missed out on this. Wanting to get a 32gb card for the wife.

Any deals coming up soon, OP?
