I lied. Maybe yesterday it worked fine as i had something like 95% battery when i put it on the charger but this morning with 20% battery it would switch on and off repeatedly.
My charger and cable are from a Moto g2.I used a random cable I had lying around and it would charge very slowly. Switched to one of those Tikbro cables and the problem was solved.
People have said Tikbro cables aren't very durable, but its fine for a qi charger since the cable never needs to be unplugged and plugged back in.
Is it my cable or the socket that would be the problem? Or do I just have a faulty unit? I'm currently using a Samsung branded cable (model CB5MU05E) and a Motorola socket (5.1V 850mA) and still having the issue where it drops in and out of charging (screen says charging then it disappears and then says charging again and repeats)

850mA is really low. You will loose half that in the wireless conversion. You need a solid 1.5 to 2.0A with voltage staying above about 4.9V at full load.@stumo: cheers. So the cable should be adequate tho? Ill go digging aroundmy drawer to test another socket then
I got my 2 this morning and have been charging my S6 on it all day long. The positions of the resting tabs on the bottom means the S6 sits higher than perfect.
I've pulled my speaker thing apart already and worked out that I need to move the NFC receiver up and to the right more. The things sounds reasonable when I pull the platform off and put my S6 just left off center (left a bit), and down, and it worked amazingly well. So I'm going to have to move the antenna of the NFC into the correct place. I wish it would be easy to move those plastic tabs lower so my phone would sit perfectly. That'll take some creativity.
My S6 seems to charge fine when I simply place it on the tabs.
One of mine is already broken. After less than a week.

wont charge. Same USB port, same cable. one will charge the other wont.

My charger worked fine yesterday but this morning it's behaving weirdly. Although it is showing as charging when placed on the mat it is actually sucking the charge out of the battery. Anybody else facing the same issue?
It is impossible for the charger to suck power out of the battery. It sounds more like you had a rouge app that's using up your phone battery more quickly than the charger can recharge it.
I haven't installed any new app since yesterday. Also it worked fine last evening. It started behaving weirdly from this morning only. If I don't place the phone on the charger it's not losing any charge.
Is there an app you can use for your phone to check the charging current? Like Galaxy Charging Current if you have a Samsung device.
Update: I went to a local store and got the charger replaced with a brand new one.
Still hasn't arrived, must have gone via antarctica. Anyone else still waiting ?!
I ordered two separately and only received one of them. Have asked them to cancel it so hopefully they do.

No. That's the charger dropping out and in due to your crappy power supply and/or crappy USB cable.
