Mc Donalds, Mighty muffin meal plus extra drink for $4.40. Look for subtraction signs on the beverage menu touch screens.

Not really a deal because the prices of store specific for Mc Donalds (Springvale in my case).

And since the touch screens are new, it's possible that the person programing the prices programed it incorrectly and when you make some drink selections, instead of adding to the cost it's subtracting them instead.

In my case I ordered a Mighty Muffin ($4.75 by itself). Made it a meal $7.75. Then scrolled down to 'Sml OJ LSM' and it had -$3.35 on it and ended up reducing the overall price to $4.40, less than the muffin itself. And on top of that the computer told the guy to give me 2 oj's for whatever reason!

But like I said the prices are store specific and it's just a matter of getting lucky and knowing to spot to the subtraction signs instead of additions to see if you can take advantage of some pricing errors;.

  • and ended up reducing the overall price to $4.40

    Still too expensive. /tight

Nice find though. Enjoy 'em while you can! :P Thanks for sharing & caring (and potentially having someone leak this glitch to them earlier than might've happened naturally - there's always one, but hopefully not).

  • If you order two juices, will it make the meal $1.05? Or will they get suspicious that you're paying so little for a meal and refuse to serve you?

    • Interesting theory that I had no considered.

Imagine adding 100 juices and getting $300 profit! :p

You can select paypass to play directly at the kiosk so the staff wont see the price (as far as I know, dunno if it will show it on their screen of or it just tells them what to make) but it sure would be noticeable at the end of the day if for some reason the machine is dishing out cash, and I have a feeling it wont be done through paypass either :p

Not to mention they'd get sus giving you 100 juices lol.

      • Hm, I wouldn't go as far as to make it $0 or a negative amount, that looks pretty suspicious. And I've gotten enough refunds from OzBargain deals to know that they will notice $0 payments more than small $1 amounts.

Maybe you should go back and try it with 2 juices and report back?

        • Assuming they haven't caught it already maybe I will in a few hours :)

  • i get the $2 blt and add an egg - total $3 and cheaper the egg and bacon by itself.

    • +1

That's a neat idea. Seems like a legit work around to pricing though with those machines (made easier by obvious pricing now).

My one was more a programing error and unlikely to be replicated at most stores. Just saying to keep an eye out :)
