Lebara Mobile $29.90 Unlimited National Plan with 4GB Data - Is There Any Providers out There That Can Beat This?

Hi OZB community, I'm currently on the Aldi mobile XXL prepaid plan which costs me $45 monthly.
I initially subscribe to Aldi mobile because they were the ones who are offering the cheapest international call rates to the Philippines.

But now that my wife has already come to Australia. I don't think Aldi suits me anymore. I was browsing around for alternatives and found this lebara unlimited 29.90 National plan.

is there any other providers that can beat this? or any comment with Lebara mobile?

Thanks and have a good day!

  • There is a Whirlpool thread on this - have a read

    • Thanks! don't normally go to whirlpool often but I'll have a read!

  • +1

Comparable to my Woolworths mobile plan of 2011-12 which was state of the art back then.

    • Are they none existent now?

      • I just use the later 4g network-vha & Skype, no longer recharge it.
Heavy talkers should all put +$100pa in their pocket w this offer.

  • interested in this thread. I too am thinking of porting to lebara from voda.

  • It's the best I've seen at the moment, but the best ever phone plan I've seen is the Woolworths $30/45 day expiry including $500 credit, 5GB data on the Optus Network. It's only $27 when you get the 10% off at Woolworths when recharging, so comes down to $18/month for all that. It's been discontinued since 2012/2013 now.

  • It's not really a 4GB plan though, is it? It's a 2GB plan where they are giving a 2GB bonus for a limited time (according to that Whirlpool thread at least). As the offer expires on 30 June, the recharge bonus might expire then too.

  • Lebara is the worst company if you are thinking of porting, customer service not any better.
