    Just for a bit of context the commission for using Expedia is usually around 15% (negotiated for each supplier).

    In this case I'd imagine Expedia are making 3% instead of 15% to get their app some love.
    I'd also imagine that the supplier will have no idea you are getting a better rate as you have prepaid to Expedia.

    Tried to use HSBC12 for a booking for 21 Oct using the app, got

    Sorry, but this isn't a valid coupon code.

    Maybe doesn't work on all hotels.

    The app doesn't seem to list all the hotels that are available on the website. The hotel I want to book is on expedia.com.au, but not on the app.
