Now that is cheap. Just double checked some random dates and there is availability. I checked 4th - 18th Oct. 50 Return flights available at this price, then once sold out, $1099.

  • $999 - Melbourne to London fare is ex Melbourne only. Fare is a return economy class. Limited travel dates apply: Departures from 1st October - 30 November 2015 only. Inbound blackout period applies (1 December 2015 - 31 January 2016). Maximum Stay: 12 months. No outbound changes are permitted. Cancellation Fees apply.     2 hours Brunei, 2 hours Dubai stopovers. 27 hour trip.

      I actually didn't mind it.. 7 x 8 x 7? hour legs broke up the journey a bit.. as a bigger guy, sitting in a small seat for long hours, you need a break.. i'd much rather that than 2x 12 hour flights..

      I've made the journey 3 times. Some hate it but my whole perception of time changes. You sort of condition yourself.

      Also between Brunei and Dubai you can usually stretch out or even lay down as its usually 1/2 full.

    FYI, royal brunei don't serve/permit alcohol on any of their flights……. if i was being locked in a metal tube for 27hrs i would want a drink.

    Any idea on the planes that fly on these routes and if it costs more to add a night lay over along the way? I found the a380 made my whole trip better

      From london you can go anywhere with Ryanair, Easyjet, etc.

      I flew from London Stansted to Fez and then Marrakesh back to Stansted with carry it was about $100 the whole trip.

    Flew back to Melbourne on 21st May. 787 dreamliner is quieter and has lower cabin pressurisation sure more comfy Bigger windows that are individually adjustable. Good food, great service. Enjoyed stopovers as could get out and walk about. Light loading so many passengers stretched out and slept along 3 seats. Enjoyed flight and servic9
