Help Me Find 10" 1GB RAM, Good Resolution Tablet under $150

It's a presie for mum so need big screen & good resolution for watching movies. Found Amicroe TouchTab S10 Tablet in Harvey, is it good? Dont mind chinese tabs, was thinking of Deal Xtreme Onda but could take about a month for delivery, too late for her birthday in mid June. Many thanks.

You will need more than 1GB of ram.

  • Generally cheaper tablets won't be very "good" compared to mainstream ones, particularly their resolution and battery life.

The tablet you linked has a resolution of 1280x800 which personally I wouldn't find very good but could easily be enough for your mum's eyes.

Are you able to head into store to check out the tablet in person? Try it out and if you're happy with it then I think it's about as good as you'll get in that price range plus you'll get the full aussie warranty as opposed to buying something from overseas.

People seem to be happy with their Amicroe products in this thread.

  • Tablets don't need get to "upgraded" as often as phones do, they don't break as much as phones do. So I personally think it's worth getting something that'd last, it's my personal opinion though.

If you are getting something for mid-June, it'd be hard to get something from China. That being said, if the price range is the most important aspect, I think there were few Windows tablets from Aldi and Target that were around your price range. Those usually have awful spec compared to Chinese tablets though. So I think your best bet/bang for the buck option would be getting a Chinese tablet (with express shipping, which might make them go over $150).

Other option would be something like HP 10 Plus, which is a budget tablet from HP.

Though, with the current exchange rate and everything, Chinese tablets are becoming more expensive option for us.

  • There's a new line at Target called "Netgreen" that has a 10.1" Kitkat tablet for $149…
But I know nothing about them and I can't find a thing via Google either. Only mentioning it because it fits your budget and, from what I read on the side of the box, it seems reasonable for the price. May be worth trying to find out more.

  • Thankyou so much everyone, will check them out. Much appreciated!
