Great prices if you are looking for one of these steam irons. Not so great reviews for Sunbeam from the limit details I can fine. I purchased the GC7520, as they seem to have consistent good scores online.

    • Mike?

    • I'm going to daveid Jones to check out their prices :)

  • What's the better unit, the Sunbeam or the Philips?

    • The Sunbeam would be as it has the larger tank for longer ironing. They have roughly the same grunt. You would have to go up to the Tefal to get noticeably greater power. My wife uses the Tefals in her ironing shop to plough through about 50 baskets a week.

looking online although the specs are better, sunbeam has pretty poor reviews. (the few I could find) this seems to be my experience with most Sunbeam items over the years.

I was about to buy Sunbeam, but with the poor reviews, coupled this is for hhld use and I didnt think I needed the bigger tank. I ended up buying the Philips.

      • How does it go?

  • Fortunately it's not a Sunbeam "Cafe Series" iron… you'd never be able to lift it :)

When I worked at a Major department store in the past, their systems would automatically decrease the price discontinued items until stock shows 0. They probably have phantom stock in some store somewhere for this to still be live in their systems. may get lucky if you do find it in-store.

      • I called the hotline a couple of weeks ago and they said the only store in WA that shows stock in their system is Stirling. I went to investigate but they said they don't have it. So stock on hand does not necessarily mean they have it.
