Coles - Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser 500ml $11 (Save $7), Moisturising Lotion 500ml $11.50

60

Cetaphil products are great when you have sensitive skin or if your skin is undergoing some stress such as excessive dryness or itchiness.

I noticed the cleanser in the catalogue but it appears that the whole Cetaphil line is on sale on the Coles website.

Both the 500ml gentle cleanser and moisturising lotion are usually between $13-$14 even when on sale at discount chemists. The SPF 15 facial moisturiser is also a good price at $14, it's usually $16+ from discount chemists.

The gentle cleanser is non-foaming, if you have oily skin, there's also an oily skin cleanser.

Cheaper to get the 1L pump packs (on a per unit basis). :p

Chemist Warehouse has the 1L moisturising lotion with bonus 250mL gentle cleanser for $19 and the 1L gentle cleanser for $19.

    • Yeah but I find I can't use that much and usually stick with 500ml.

      • Does it expire? :)

        • Nope but it's bulky :-)

sorry but besides their restoraderm, other brands such as qv, dermaveen and aveeno are better, particularly for cleansers :)

    • I've been using Cetaphil moisturiser for about a year and recently found that my skin would tingle/itch over the course of the night after applying it post shower in the evening. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't done extensive testing, but the times I use another product (Intensive care), it seems ok. I've ordered a big tub of colloidal oatmeal moisturiser from iHerb, so waiting to test with that.

both dermaveen and aveeno have colloidal oatmeal - i use dermaveen moisturiser on my body :)

        • Thanks I didn't realise that. Good to have lots of options!

    • I'd like to try qv too.

    • I agree much prefer the QV cleanser over the Cetaphil one but the Cetaphil cream is luxurious. No cream on sale?

    • I use the moisturiser just fine, but the cleanser was a bit harsh. Replaced it with Cerave from amazon.

    • Tried some others like QV and Dermaveen a couple of years ago. Found them to be much stickier and 'heavier'…

Great products… But why would you but 500ml when you can just but 1lt cheaper.

  • I have sensitive skin and tried a Cetaphil product once; didn't help. If anyone is after a very gentle face moisturiser for dry skin, try QV night cream

  • apparently good to get rid of head lice
