  • On the cashback website, the promotion date is from 1 Apr 2015 to 30 June 2015. However, "all claims must be received no later than by last mail 5.00pm AEST on 15/06/2015." I am guessing its a typo?

    • On the cashback form "Final claim close last mail on 14/7/15"

  • look at the claim form page 1 final claim must be in by 14/7/15

  • At a quick glance Amazon reviews for this iron don't look great. Could still be good Maybe you have to adjust the way you use it compared to a traditional iron.

    • Even the reviews on the philips website are awful!!! lol.

  • Was eyeing this and waiting for the price to drop in the 70 dollar range. This is even better! Thanks OP!

I've just been in the same boat to replace our broken iron. I passed on this Philips model based on the reviews (even though our current Philips was excellent and lasted for many years) and went with this Tefal at HN for $78 down from $159.95 based on its reviews.

    • Hi #Shark - can you comment on the soleplate for tefal, trying to decide between the two. Thanks

      • @Brainwhacker I haven't taken the iron out of the box yet so it hasn't been used (we don't iron very much - hence buying a cheap iron!). So I'm not going to be much help to you. I made my decision based on the poor reviews of the Philips iron and the pretty decent reviews of the Tefal one.
