I have 4 different models… Worth pointing out that the 10,000mAh is significantly smaller on all three axis, not just slimmer!

Also, I still highly recommend any of them! Just pointing out that the newer model is significantly smaller.

      • Yep, AznMitch did a brief comparison between the Kaiser Baas from Dick Smith and the Xiaomi with some specs here

Expect eight weeks for delivery from allbuy.

According to their rep on here they have changed their shipping agent (previously some Swedish post service) and "Delivery time can be guaranteed in 15 working days counted from shipping day."

Time will tell if this is accurate, but in general I've found all these Chinese sites (geekbuying, banggood, allbuy, etc) to have similarly long waiting times. Buy local if you need it soon

        • Anyone recommend a local seller who has genuine stock?.

I've dealt with a few Chinese companies that bulk-ship from Europe. I have never had to wait as long as I have had to from allbuy. I won't be using them again. I purchased two xiaomi earphones from them on 27th April. The "shipping" from Sweden only took place on 25th May. Why did it take 9 days for processing and another 19 days before dispatch? It's been another 16 days and I still haven't received my shipment. Do not trust allbuy:

2015-05-06T09:22:00InTransit , Item received for processing (Direct Link, PostNord Receiving HUB)
2015-05-25T11:22:00InTransit , The item has been dispatched from Direct Link's international terminal for onward transport to the country of destination (MALMO UTR/MMAH,Sverige)

        • @smurfinaus:

Mushtato is local and occasionally has sales, although they're more exp than Chinese sites. This was a deal they listed a few weeks ago, but is expired now

        • @robbiequinn:

Fair enough, I have no association to any of these companies so generally I just go for the cheapest. Plenty of people have stated similar problems with Sweden Post, so it'll be interesting to see how the new shipping agent affects shipping times from Allbuy.

        • @johnn: Thanks for supporting local Aussie business :)

        • @johnn:
I have bought from Mushtato before and can recommend them.

    • Any feedback if Allbuy Xiaomi stock is genuine?

Nice! Here is the link if anyone was wondering. Cheapest I've seen for now

stay away these guys are fraud and mislead the buyers

  • I have to agree with ravian29. Their Cree flashlight deal didn't turn out too well for buyers.

  • Wait…. confused… so are both gearbest and allbuy slow as snails in delivery???

Johnn seemed to indicate that the cheapest was gearbest, and as it was free shipping like allbuy I decided to go with gearbest….

Should I go with allbuy instead? Thinking of hitting the buy button as it is paypal covered anyway… so I can dispute and get the money frozen/refunded if it is a scam… bought two anyway into my shopping cart with gearwest. nearly 1am so i'm 2 hours past bed time so might just take the plunge with gearbest!

Be keen to hear if gearbest or allbuys are confirmed genuine? How can we tell genuine xiao mi anyway? The irony.. chinese product being counterfeited by chinese…haha

    • Went with gearbest.

$14.42 each… got two, they hit you with +1.99 for a tracking number and $1.57 for insurance… all this is usd.. not much in grand scheme of things.

But got me thinking, while shipping is free, should one pay for tracking numbers and insurance? If it's paypal covered will it cover you if it never arrives (and you had no insurance)? Or having paid through paypal you're wasting your money paying extra for a tracking number and/or insurance on the parcel?? Wasn't sure what to do so I just paid the $3.50 USD extra for this…. would have made the 2 powerbanks alot cheaper at around $28-29USD though (before these were added on).

Waiting game now to see how fast these get here, if it turns out better than the above deal people are talking about, I"ll let everyone know :)

      • Both are slow to deliver, although recently Allbuy has been much, much slower than usual- many have commented on waiting 2+ months for items to arrive. This mainly had to do with the delivery agent they were using, but they've changed that now apparently so it should be back to 'normal'.

Either way, I'd say the minimum wait for all of these Chinese sites is 2-3 weeks. More likely 4-5 weeks from purchase.

As for if they're genuine, there's an authenticity check setup by Xiaomi. Past deals from geekbuying and allbuy have been proven to be genuine by commentators. I wouldn't worry too much about these bigger Chinese resellers.

        • THat's a handy link - cheers! I got a 'dispatched' last night…. so supposedly it's been processed. there's a shipping number but not the typical 'tracking number' you get from a US fedex or something courier, just wondering if i wasted my $1.99 for tracking and it's a sham or what?

DO you bother or recommend even spending the extra for insurance and/or tracking numbers if you're buying via paypal from these overseas chinese resellers?

did you mean gearbest not geekbuying by the way?

        • @SaberX:

To be honest, I never bother with insurance from these Chinese resellers. Haven't really had any problems in the past- the few things that never arrived were sorted pretty easily through PayPal. But you never know… $2 for piece of mind isn't too bad :)

Oh right yeah, GearBest. All these big sites are the same to me anyway haha!

        • @johnn:

Yeah I shoudln't have bothered.. didn't even get given a track no, abit of a con paying extra for it!

Arrived mix last week, so about 1 July. Pretty good, so down to 3 weeks! The boxes are unwrapped though/unsealed? Surely they would seal originals in plastic? So you can just open it straight from the box and replace a genuine with a fake (if you wanted to right?). That said, the verification code worked, but yeah yet to test it for other common xiaomi fakes - short circuit charging by going from its charger to charigng port on the one cable, and other tests?

  • Any deal on the 16,000 one rep?

  • Got mine delivered to me mid last week if anyones interested… not bad so obviously just 3 weeks or so…. so delivery time ISN"T THAT BAD on gearbest anymore.

That said I tried that mi verify thing posted by link above…. seem sto work, but all it tells you is your searching up a 'mi powerbank'. Doesn't tell you if they gave oyu a genuine box but not product though?

Also the white boxes they came in were unwrapped?? seems somewhat unsafe as you can open and replace the contents with fakes if indeed the box was original? Does xiaomi normally not have the product box wrapped in product seal/plastic?
