Catalogue states "When you purchase any 2 Healthy Care products"

There is no rigorous evidence that q10 dietary supplements provide any benefit. Zero. In other words, snake oil.

On the plus side, 50mg/day is harmless, aside from possible minor bowel unpleasantness.

      people still but this !@#$.

And i guess if they buy this specific product then this is a deal for them.

      Having said that.

No evidence doesn't mean it doesn't work though.. It just means no one has invested the money in proving it works.

Another example of this is glucosamine. There is poor quality evidence that proves it works, yet if you ask around, there's lots of anecdotal evidence.

I have this rock that stops lion attacks. There's no evidence that it works, but thankfully I haven't been attacked by a lion since I started carrying the rock around.

There is a lot of evidence that glucosamine works, just no quality evidence that it works better than placebo

    • Wiki isn't the best reference point.

Refer below shows some benefits; so wouldn't state it has Zero benefits.

Looking at the first study, the sample sizes were 10+8 - a pilot study you might say . You'd think if the result was interesting, someone would have done a proper followup study.
And the other - a journal of "vitaminology"!? you must be (profanity) kidding!?

Sure but it doesn't discount the results as previously stated as "zero".
Let's get the facts right before relying on wiki…
Secondly the term used seems to be Japanese in origin, again doesn't discount the results. There are plenty of studies on coq10 and Ubiquinol. I'd be more inclined to state that there is some benefit than "zero".

  • I think this is normally cheaper during sale. This isn't a good price

Through a number of personal trials with Crestor 5mg(taken for high cholesterol), with and without 120mg of Q10 over 2 years I have come to the conclusion that it works - for me. I managed to lower my cholesterol levels, halving the dose of Crestor i.e. 2.5mg taken togther with 120mg Q10, I do not get the back side effects of muscle aching.

That's about the only anecdotal evidence of Q10 benefit that I can find. Further the additional of Q10 has significantly helped muscle strength and stopped the loss of muscle "strength".

The sign in the shop didnt say I had to buy 2 products - I asked for it and they were happy to hand it over. As I mentioned it's not a big back pack - maybe ok for the kids.

  • Nice, I love my snake oil in capsules!

  • I buy Q10 for people with certain metabolic disorders. Because they have such low levels in their body, it appears to be somewhat beneficial to them.
As for normal people, why do you need this? Just eat healthy and exercise.
