    wait wait…

so this is saying I can subscribe to sunday only for $19 and get $100 voucher + wine???

seems too good to be true?

    must be a catch?

  • +3

If you go to subscribe.smh.com.au/bbq you can also get a bbq cookbook with the deal as well.

    • Nice found, even better. Do you have how much for the wine delivery? And can I get the voucher before Christmas?

very tempting, even I don't drink!

      • Q. Who delivers your wine and how much does it cost?
        A. Delivery is handled by Australia Post and can be to your home or office. These delivery costs are per case (up to 15 bottles can be packed in each case).
Delivery to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, ACT and Newcastle to Wollongong is $9.95 per case. Delivery is $12.95 per case to country NSW and country Victoria. Deliveries to Queensland, SA country, Perth, WA country, Tasmania and the Northern Territory cost $14.95 per case.

        • Thanks, subscribed $29 b4 the book run out , even I have no time to read (yes, I tried that b4) and don't drink!
Can't resist the temptation of the day.

  • Not available for Tas? Can't seem to sign up. Wanted a $100 voucher for $19 :D

  • Sorry - yes, SMH = Sydney morning herald. Not sure if theres an equivalent deal for Tassie , altho Im sure there would be for "The Age" (Melbourne)

  • can someone confirm this site is legit?

    I'm about to order lol!

I'm scared it's going to be one of those "spend $200 then get $100 off" vouchers lol!

  • i just ordered the $19 sunday subscription

When will I receive the wine voucher?

hoping to buy some wine for christmas presents.

  • Their cheapest wine (for a measly 6 bottles) = $75, and there's not much else sub $100 - so the $100 voucher isn't much to sing and dance about (especially as it doesn't say if you can use the voucher for shipping or not - if not then not much of a bargain though the delivery prices for SMH are pretty good…)

    • +1

      it still would be

      even if delivery is $9.95

      for $19 u get

$100 worth of win + 20 weekend paper + Dal Zotto sparkling wine (seems to be going for $20 at online wine stores)

If u think that's not a bargain then I think you need to get your head checked lol!

      • depends if a person likes that wine or not and/or whether that wine really is worth $100

(I haven't done any price comparisons against Dan Murphy)

Also if you don't want to the wine, don't have anyone to give the voucher to and don't want the paper then no, that would not be a bargain …

  • Sorry dumb question - Does the Sun Herald usually have much news? I know my bf buys the SMH sometimes but I'm not sure if the Sun Herald is good. The deal sounds great!

  • Does anybody know a link to an equivalent deal for The Age?

  • Being cheated again.
You can't select the wine, the cheapest case offer is $119 (included $100 voucher)and you have to join their program and charge you automatically @ 3 months.

    https://www.winecellaronline.com.au/smhvoucher

The Mystery Mixed Case which is same price without voucher
It said "a guaranteed saving of at least $100"

Don't even need to voucher to order.
    I am not ordering.
I will not buy/subscribe any SMH any more!!!

    • Yes, what a crock. I specifically called them prior to subscribing to confirming if there were any strings attached to the wine voucher and they said "no". Clearly this is not the case!!

I will be calling SMH and demanding a refund of my subscription. If they try to stuff me around, I'll be referring the matter to Fair Trading. I urge all subscribers who feel cheated to do the same. Good thing I printed out a copy of the original offer which clearly does not indicate any strings attached in the fine print.

Way to go SMH, you now potentially have a large group of disgruntled buyers on your hands. We need to teach these f*ckers that they shouldn't mess with consumers.

      • Seem only you and me fell for it! Did you get any refund?
