no deal at all - see here charging 5 star prices for 3 star hotels.

    • What? Sofitel is five star. Not sure you know how much it costs to stay in a hotel

      • -1

        Ibis is 3 Star…… for $298 vs Pullman @ $323….
Sofitel is dated now anyway, id rather the Hilton.

        • +1

"Sofitel is dated" so a brand can't be old anymore? it makes no sense what you are saying

          @renaldof:
ok its less of a modern design than a hilton hotel.
have you stayed at either to even compare?
Im talking about the ones in Sydney… As per my screenshot.

@tuzii: i worked for Sofitel for 2 years in Queenstown, NZ, a few years ago. Their hotels are stunning.

    • I've got to agree with tuzii here, I had high expectations of their property in Bali, but it was nothing like a 5 star (a run down 4 star, a 3 star at worst). Wished I'd taken up the Hilton or even a holiday inn instead!

:) if you need hilton 15% off, use this link - http://teamusa.hhonors.com/ Choose Curling (usually the best price) - gold medal prices + hhonors points

        • Thx mate!

        • do you need any form of ID/verification to use the corporate discount for this?
          thanks

          @coolkid101:
ive stayed over 40 nights with it in 8 different hiltons aus/nz/uae and never got asked, you just remove the company name from the booking when you book it as it will show "Curling USA"

        • @tuzii:
Was more expensive for me by about 20% for my stay using the link ( my rate was a long stay for 10 nights ) so check both before you book.

I'm fairly sure that star ratings have nothing to do with the state of your room or common areas, it only relates to the facilities available.

Ie a 24/7 reception is a requirement for 4 star recognised hotel, if you don't have one and even if you have gold lined door handles you can't get anything higher than a 3 star rating

  • dammit.. staying at a Mecure in the Hunter Valley on 9 July…

  • Had a look KL. Prices around the same with within the qualifying period and outside but good post as some may benefit. I will state I'm Accor platinum whatever that means. Perhaps I fall within the 'book from 19 June as I may be just an email subscriber?

    • You want an awesome deal in KL? Check out the furama. We just had 7 nights there in an executive suite with breaky, evening cocktails and canapes for under 100 a night. Lead in rooms about 50 with a high probability of being upgraded anyway.

      • Thanks Bullion may check I normally just do the cheapies out Chow Kit way but at $50 (possibly) that would be a bargain

        • +1

We have stayed at Sunway in Chow Kit, can also recommend them as they tend to also upgrade us to a suite..great facilities and love the old style grandeur of the place..They have edged up in price a bit though, probably since they have finished their big refurb of the shopping mall downstairs. We really rated the frame though, its virtually right next to berjaya time square so location is awesome. We used cheaptickets.com to book on a 25% off and it was dirt cheap.

      • Thanks again

  • Does anyone know if the discount will still apply for stays on the 29th of August, checking out on the 30th?

Looking to book a hotel for our 1 night in manila

What happened to the Accor super sales that were actually good?

For this deal a 9 night stay at the Pullman KL looks like this:

SUPER SALE: 30% off your hotel room and breakfast for free! 599.36 USD

or this next offer runs all the time with the same breakfast and booking conditions….

ENERGIZING MORNING: 15% OFF YOUR STAY FROM 5 NIGHTS AND MORE 582.24 USD

  • Yeah I have never found my cheapest option with a sale or offer. Not saying it can't be done but there are always differnt rates and deals which usually come to about the same anyway.

f your stay is prior to 31 july, make sure you register for triple points promotion. Instead of 5% back in points, you can get 15% back (classic members).

  • Did this last time they had the sale. Really happy - $130 or so for Novotel darling harbour including a superb breakfast.
Not 5 star but really clean and comfortable. Will be looking to use this deal for sure!

    • its no where near as cheap in this sale.

  • Looking for somewhere fun with the kids (young). Too cold for swimming pools I guess.

Does anyone have any experience with Leura Fairmont Resort in Blue Mountains, Sebel Kirkton Park in the Hunter Valley or Pullman Magenta Shores near Terrigal? Looking for somewhere just out of Sydney to get away to…

  • Booked the Sofitel. On July 19. Will see how it goes for 150and breakfast included.
