BUT YOU NEVER SOLD THEM FOR THE PRICE YOU SAY!

    • Thanks!

    • $140 lmfao.

  • Anything that is feathers is not a good one. Down is the expensive filling.

  • Also, what is the difference between Duck Feather, Duck down and Goose down quilts. I extend my apologies for being ignorant.

    • duck feather: all season use, medium weight and warmth

duck down: winter use, high warmth

goose down: lighter, warmer and softer than duck down, supreme warmth, winter use

      • Hey Rep what weight are these? (eg GSM?)
        Thanks

  • The birds give up their feathers when they are killed eaten and in places like China they are made into cheap quilts. The really cold climate birds - Eider Ducks, such as those in North Scandinavia esp Iceland, line their nests with down plucked from their breast to keeps the eggs warm, then when the chicks hatch, off they go to warmer climates and the down is hand collected. That's the range from a $40 one to a $10,000 one.

Looking on ebay etc you can see $500 ones made in Germany from Hungarian birds or some such.

    • For the Australian climate i would recommend emu feathers. Very light weight and keeps you cool on those hot nights
