    Sushi Train - All Plates $3

    How much are they normally ?

    • +3

      $3-$5.50 (I don't think the $8 plates count but not sure)

    • +1

      It ranges depending on the plate. Usually blue plates $3.50, silver plates $4, orange plates $4.50, green plates $5, purple plates $5.50. Colours may differ, but pricing is generally $3.50 - $5.50.

    Tip for sushi train first timers. Look at where the chefs are positioned at and the direction of the train. Then try to sit near where the chefs put out the plates. So you get first dips at the new plates being put out.

    • our local one puts the plates out on both sides so it doesn't really matter, but I know what you mean.

      also buy the lemonade with the marble in the bottle - nice drink and like the old bottles from 100 years ago.

      • What you mean both side? The train runs in two directions? How is that possible? Unless you mean there are multiple chef sections which is rare unless the place is huge.

        I have had the experience of sitting at almost at the very end of the line before and all the good stuff like soft shell crab or aburi (flame grilled) salmon sushi never reaches me. I had to keep making orders with the waitress (and chase the orders up when they never arrive) which really disrupts the flow of the night.

          its kind of a wierd U shape and the track backs onto itself - so it does run two directions.
          This is a really busy sushi train and you never have too wait long before you get one you want - takes ten minutes for a full circuit.

    • I don't like the new plates when the sushi is warm, but I also am not a big fan of how much I spend at sushi train haha

      • Thats the whole point of sushi trains. Your hands get itchy when you have so many variety of food going past you. But you know you farked up when your plates stack a storey high !

        • true.. just one more plate, and there's another $5 gone.

          @PVA: At least when it's the anniversary deal it's only $3 ;)
