Huh? I bought a $5 ticket once on its own, I already had a $10 ticket from work..

It appears it isn't the same anymore. sigh

  • I think kids under 4, get in free.

    • Only if they don't take up a seat

      • +12

They'll be running around the isles terrorising patrons.

        • As per usual then.

  • Please be aware there are maximum purchase 10 tickets a day per account.

Is there any booking fee when redeeming the vouchers online?

    • Yes, but I wonder how much.

Extra charges may be payable for online bookings, depending on the policies of the particular cinema or venue.

    • +3

No. As an Optus Movies member, you will not be charged the standard $1 booking fee when you redeem your Optus movie voucher.

      Check out the FAQs.

      • +1

FAQs suggest no fees when booking online at Hoyts. Palace and Readings could be different.

I got a genuine question for all the optus users. If I were to get a $2 sim, am I required to topup at least $30 to be eligible for the optus rewards? That was what the customer service told me last year but I never tried ever since.

Don't believe so. They also dont seem to care if you've got an active account..

  • awesome post. pulling the kids out of school tomorrow to see inside out. perfect timing!! thanks

    • Awesome movie. Enjoy!

why did someone neg my comment?

  • still hasn't used mine from last deal

    • They usually have a 3 month expiry so check they don't go to waste!

  • oops, miss read the post. Nevermind, $15 for both adult and child is pretty good!

    • They still are, this is for an adult and child ticket

  • Great deal - Basically $20 for 2 adults 2 children or $10 for 1 and 1 to see the latest Disney Pixar film 'Inside out' which has very high reviews (rated PG): http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/inside_out_2015/

      Awesome movie!

      Have fun.

    • +1

Care to elaborate how to get $20 for 2 adults and 2 children?

      • $30 it should be.

      • Yep, sorry - should be $30 - I got a bit too excited.

  • +1

Note that last time this deal was up they actually sold out prior (as I tried to get some on the last or second-last day) so it does happen. Great way of getting a bunch of tickets for the school holiday period (and beyond)!

  • Sorry for asking, but if I have Hoyts membership it won't work I suppose.

    • +2

To buy the tickets you need optus number to sign up to an account(cheap pre-paid will do). If you mean do you get points with the voucher, then yes it will, but at voucher/ticket price, so $10-100points for adult ticket.

      • Don't think you can create an account using a prepaid sim unless you've recharged it now though

  • +2

I can highly recommend "inside out" for both children and adults. its a very good movie

bought some and took the kids to the cinema.
    We saw "Minions"
Good movie - The kids love it.
    Thank you OP.

  • asking for a code - do they sms the code?

    • Leave that blank (unless you have one). You will be able to complete order without it.

  • Why does the link to https://payment.optusmovierewards.com.au/Faqs come up with a security warning from Google?!?

"This server could not prove that it is payment.optusmovierewards.com.au; its security certificate is from www.ilovequesaisje.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection."

  • Very easy process…thanks heaps OP!
