Note that all these titles are in the public domain so available for free at sites such as http://gutenberg.net.au/plusfifty-n-z.html#orwell

One advantage to paying would be possibly better format for reading, but personally I would just read it in my browser using html. If you're really keen I can find a link for grabbing a free pdf or epub.

These are public domain in Australia.
You can download them to you telescreen for free, without fear of the thouˆWcopyright police.
    edit: damn, beaten!

Its a shame 1984 has lost some impact, since the NSA and their 5-eyes partners make the Thought Police look like a bunch of amateurs.
Now where can I get a bargain on a tablet or laptop without a front-facing camera and microphone?

    • Its a shame 1984 has lost some impact

I heard that he's working on a sequel.

      • prequel actually

      • 2001, 2010 and 2012 are taken. As is 1941.

    • It's Google who have installed and monitor the TV screens. They then have the temerity to charge for the public domain cautionary tales.

    • Can't help with the microphone but a black tape over the front-facing camera should sort you out for vid…

  • Cheers - I had no idea!

      What happened to it ???

      • I said no eye deer, Coral!

  • i prefer books by Eric Arthur Blair.

    • The Indian ?

    • Don't think you'll find his name on any books. Just essays.

  • George Orwell's works being peddled by Google. The search engine that records every search term string, IP address and timestamp for a minimum of 2 years.

    The irony.
