Best Telstra Plan at The Moment?

My dad has moved offices within the home and now he has little to no reception where he works. I have tried my Vodafone network and his optus network in the small office area and both receive very poor reception. Everytime he has to speak to someone he has to leave the office which is not functional.
I assume that Telstra would have the best chance of working in that small area.

My question:
1) What would be the best Telstra mobile plan( with phone plan and without) :
- He uses little to no data as he has access to wifi.
- Mainly use for calls and some texting
-uses voicemail regularly( Well at least i think he does)

2) He also has a old smartphone and he has expressed a possible desire to upgrade his phone

Thanks

I would be testing Telstra reception (friends phone?) in that same space before committing to a plan - they may all be as bad as each other.

  • ALDI mobile might be another choice too… they use Telstra network as well. Would give Telstra prepaid a try first, it could be the new house blocking the signal rather then poor reception.

  • If he has good wifi a VOIP service might solve his needs?

Otherwise Telstra PrePaid will be a winner, might be OK with the $30 plan. If he wants a new phone, the best thing would be to buy one outright (find a good bargain of course).
