German 'engineered' = Andreas, Jörg, Jürgen and Klaus got together and designed the Vacuum, then had it actually made/assembled in China. Good price nonetheless!

I think the time to stop inferring Chinese goods are lower quality just by virtue of being Chinese was about 25 years ago.

      • Still applies to eneloops, Chinese ones are not as well made as the Japanese batch we used to get. :P

It's more on the manufacturer's QC oppose to purely to the fact of made in China.

    review looks good: http://www.cleanstar.com.au/pdf/Choice_Mar2015.pdf
anyone had this can share the real use experience?
and noticed the bag itself looks rather inexpensive.

    • We've had a lower model (Miele S291-2 1600W) for about 5 years and it still has plenty of suction.
I soon noticed that a Miele 1600W machine is more powerful and quieter than a Shitty Brand 1600W vac.

    • Thanks for that link and thanks OP for posting. Tested in store and bought online.
Might buy an optional dog and cat accessory in future but it will do for now.

Good replacement for my cheap useless BigW one that I've had for like 5 years.

      • So not an on-line only special then? Obviously you can save the extra $10 on-line.

Yes, did exactly that as I even asked them to match the price with the first time customer discount, but they would not budge. Their loss as they have to pay free shipping now as well.

        @ahara

Damn, 5 years is a long time to have a cheap, useless one. How did you get by?

        • Simple, trying my best and wasting lots of time going over and over the same area. Hopefully this one will be more pleasant.

Got delivered this morning by couriers please so will test again in the evening.

        • @ahara:

Cool. Hope it works well for you.

  • What's the normal RRP?

    • Looks like they are around the $200 mark
I tried to find anything on Google for this model but there was not much at all.
Even when I searched for 2000w Miele vacuum I still got bugger all results

    • $449

  • This doesn't come with a turbine head does it?
Would be interesting to know how much they are..

How much does the bag hold?

    • No.

      A fair bit.
