It may or may not be, there are many good fakes selling…

If there are warranty issues, I'd rather deal with Spotlight than with someone on ebay…

      • Ahh, yep i agree

thats an non-Aust model (most Ebay ones are) thats why it says "AU power adapter"

      • I bought a Nutri bullet overseas via those group deals sometime back and it came with a Aust Model. No need to change the power socket.

Most expensive blender i have ever seen.
Possibly pertinent information, was featured on The Checkout on ABC recently, conclusion?
    It's just a blender.

      It's just a blender.

I've got a blender and a Nutribullet, and they are definitely not the same…

Throw some carrots and an apple in a blender, then try and drink it…

    • there are a lot of blenders a heap more expensive than $127.Even some sunbeam and brevilles are double the price.

Not saying this one is good though, I wouldnt buy one.

This is not a blender. Its a nutrient extractor! ;)

I actually have one myself. Love it!

    • Awesome reality check mate! cheers :)

    Get a Ninja!

"The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination"

No mention of making a Supercharged Nutriblast…

These are the kinds of jokes I like

Yep. After my magic bullet (200w precursor to the nutribullet) broke I did some research on a suitable replacement. Most reviews I found seemed to indicate that the nutri-ninja was better quality than the nutri-bullet. I've since bought 2 nutri ninjas (one for myself and one for a family member) from woolworths for $80 ea. and can attest to the quality.

Consumer reports also did a test with the Nutri-bullet 900 which showed that repeatedly blending ice can cause the blades to fracture. Of course the tests were far more strenuous than the device would be expected to face in real world scenarios, but most other blenders passed the same test without issue, so it does say something about the build quality.

Anyway that's just my 2c, ymmv.

      • not just the blades , there was a problem with seals and the liquid would go into the motor. I read about it on Whirlpool. the 900 was taken off the market and any that went in for warranty work were replaced by the 600w model.

        • I have both magic and nutri bullet, you can get the same from magic but you will need to shake it as you blend and blead heaps longer. The nutri's cyclonic action and more powerful motors make it heaps easier to blend and makes a smoother drink.

Regarding the seals, I think you might be able some replacement seals from them. My folks (overseas) manage to get some for their magic bullet last time.

      • $80 from woolies? That is a good price

    I have a Ninja IQ

Best thing I have bought in awhile

    • What's their IQ average I wonder?

I bought my girlfriend a nutribullet. The best thing about them is the simplicity of use and ease of cleaning. However they aren't the most robust, it does feel very short term even with good care. They are great for single serves but if you are regularly making juices and smoothies for more than one I would recommend paying more and getting a long lasting unit that gives larger serves.

I bought an omniblend, they are around 3 times the price ($299) but they have three times the warranty, the motor is 3 1/2 times more powerful and the jug is 3 times larger.

That said, we broke up, I now make smoothies for one and am contemplating this just because I can't be arsed doing the washing up up in my depressed state!!

  • I saw a nutribullet today at Coles for $79. Maybe there are different models…

  • My old man got a Nutribullet… its ok, but I am not expecting it to last long just on build quality and how it sounds like a router (the power tool kind) when it spins up. Ashamed to admit it here on Ozbargain, but I got a Vitamix (yes the $800ish ones) earlier this year and given the quality, 7 year standard warranty and overall performance (I use it twice per day for pretty heavy duty "blending" or "nutrient extracting" or whatever you want to call it), to me that is a bargain that will keep on giving for decades to come no doubt :) Sometimes the real "bargain" only emerges over time.

  • It's saying $169.99 now
