Same as the reward promotion last year in WA but pretty sure it is nation wide now. *Sorry not available in South Australia or Sydney Football Stadium Oporto stores. You get a $5 voucher for free for completing online registration. $5 voucher valid for 4 weeks after registration date.

Free birthday meal as per the date you put in when registering online.( I have been told that staffs check photo ID for birthday meal redemption so you need to put your legitimate birthday or they might not give it to you). You don't have to use your birthday meal on your birthday, the free meal is valid for up to 30 days after your birthday. Birthday meals is a single fillet small bondi meal that normally cost $8.30. I am pretty sure you can get what ever you want and they can deduct $8.30 from your total.(not 100% on this so please don't quote me on it)

You also get $1 in reward point for every $15 spend. So roughly $0.067 for every dollar spend.

P.U. Update: Seems you can't use the $5 credit until end of July, so have updated dates accordingly until proven wrong

    Does anyone know if I can register on the app, then get a physical card from a store when I go there to spend the $5 voucher (rather than making a separate trip there) and then link the physical card to the virtual card? (I'd rather have a physical card rather than having to use the app every time.)

        With a physical card, I can let friends/family use it as well. (Plus I can still use the virtual card from the app if I don't have the physical card with me.)

      Very unlikely. I've read the FAQ and it appears that they will send you an email that you will need to show at the counter — unless you are seeing a birthday gift on your Rewards tab when logging in within the smartphone app?

    Currently the reward is only available in NSW from what I am told. Other state have different start date but all state should start by the end of this month.

    Does not work, or 'not active yet' - used the app at the pitt st sydney food court
    After eating there few times now, the manager said it won't be active. I'm like what? Doesnt show a start time but only end of sept.
    How is this active or anyone successfully actualyl used the app to get it?

    negged for failing this deal.

      Also the promotion does not end at September, that is only when your free $5 voucher expire. The reward program is here to stay.

    I just used the $5 voucher today successfully at HighPoint store (VIC). However, that manager there rejected the Birthday voucher, saying you need to accumulate the equivalent of points of the Birthday meal before he will let me redeem (i.e. I will need to have nearly $9 Oporto dollars in my account before he will let me redeem the Birthday voucher).

    Hm, very weird / deceptive - got the birthday email and it says "Please note: This voucher is only valid in participating WA stores and Carlingford Court, Sydney." - that was NEVER mentioned anywhere before signup, the advertising and even TOS say "you get the free birthday gift" (in more words…) - so what is going on? Haven't been to the local Oporto yet, but the email is not very promising - deceptive advertising is not legal, isn't it. (even if for a freebie :) )

    Any input from you please?

      Sorry mate, i dont work for oporto. One of my family member does and they only provide me with so much info. All i know is that the free $5 voucher and birthday meal should be available as of now at least across NSW. I just redeem my $5 voucher today at Oporto Strathfield for a pack of 10 churros. I am pretty sure all your vouchers will be issue in the card/your account and should be redeemable at any store that use a Micros Register with a QR scanner (Which should be all stores).

      Because the loyalty program is a head office idea and all the franchisee have no choice but to follow at their own expense, most of them are not entirely happy about it. Some may even refuse to do it, even though they had to accept it or they could get in big trouble if you report them or make a complain on the oporto website.

      The app used to be only valid in "participating WA stores and Carlingford Court, Sydney".

      I think that has now changed but they have yet to update the default text in the email.

    I tried all of this yesterday and i left feeling really dissatisfied. I couldn't redeem my birthday meal (It was the 7th July) and short of that I couldn't redeem my $5 sign up voucher. The girls at the counter said they're not doing it until next month cause they don't have all "the stuff" for it yet…. I'm assuming the software and rewards cards/QR scanner. I was really annoyed.
