My FutureSonics Atrio M5 IEM Earphones Died :( Recommend a Replacement?

As the title goes I've been using these bad boys for over 3 years now and one of the earphones have given up. The sound quality is superb and they are well known for their deep bass and suitability for modern contemporary music. I spent $200 on them at the time and I have to say they've done well.

As such, I'm looking for a suitable replacement. I use them 30% at home and 70% in the Gym, and every time I travel by air. I want something that the M5s were good at (awesome isolation and killer sound quality) with an inline microphone at a lower price this time. Not fussed about ordering something online, but I would like the ability to swap the tips with compression foam ones if the stock ones are unsuitable.

I looked at the Xiaomi Piston 2 but I'm a little concerned that they would be a bit of a downgrade in terms of quality. At the low price of around $25 AUD though, I may give them a go, but I'm happy to invest in something that I'll use for a few years to come.

If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know :)

  • I'm not much of an audiophile, but I bought some moxpad x3's based on some good reviews I read and I'm really happy with them. So if you're thinking of giving something around $25 a go they might be worth a shot.

    • Hmm, they're a little on the cheap side. I don't mind paying for quality. I've never really heard awesome sounding earphones for under $100 though.
