LED keyrings are about $2 delivered on ebay…

I'm actually with JV on this one. I know this one is "Energizer" but seems overpriced for what it is, you're clearly paying for the brand name.

pretty sure this wont be any brighter than the cheap ones… good chance it wont be as good…

about 2 years ago there was a free deal on OB giving away 5 similar torches, I got it twice (10) and they're still working fine today. $0.00 and they do the job, if I want brighter I get one of my CREE's. So I'm with you on this one.

    • Can you link to a comparable one on ebay? Thanks

I bought 10 for $4 from dx.com a few years ago - cheaper than buying the CR2032 batteries that they have in them.

      • I have had a few of these which were purchased from one of those $2 asian shops; they can be purchased on cards with a mix of other flat round (for want of suitable description!) type batteries. Must admit I have not found uses for all of the batteries as yet. One of my best buys.

Great! They recently offered me $20 credit for not buying anything recently…. 3 energizer torches for under $3 delivered.

I just use my phone. Free.

these are quite useful when your hands are already full… simply squeeze them and they light up - its a far better option than risking a drop of your phone.

Mind you, without this bargain being listed and without my $20 credit they already gave me (which expires in 2 weeks) - i wouldn't have gone digging for the deal - and wouldnt have been a bargain to me at its full posted price.

By the look of it, there's around 5-6 months since I last bought anything off them.

What are you squeezing them with if your hands are full?

          I think Az is ET.

I put the end of my phone in my mouth with the LED on if my hands are full ;)

    • I have found my phone useful on many an occasion and much brighter than the alternatives. Always carry a spare (charged) phone battery for emergencies too. I have had numerous key chain torches over the years … none of them work any more.

  • Quite high quality actually, just make sure the LED lines up

    I don't need this.
    Thanks OP. Ordered 3.

I have one of these, it's 1/5th of the price and I got my money's worth in humour watching my cat trying to eat the laser.

Who in this day and age doesnt have a smartphone that can act like a torch?

  • People are saying to use the $2 ones. But I have one of these (well it was an older model) from about 7 years ago and it is STILL going strong. Granted, I have worn through the rubber button recently but this out perfromed my meagre expectations. I wonder if this new one will live up to it.

    Thanks!

  • $5 delivery blows, might have got one but not worth the hassle of going to the store for just that. Not that I actually needed it of course.

  • This one's $10 at bunnings Pakenham, clearance item though, not sure if nationwide. Dimmable and a few good reviews around.

  • wonder how long batteries in it are good for (know that is dependent of course, just mean average use)

Nitecore Tube for $9.70 delivered from Gearbest. There are other vendors that sell it for $10ish, but that was the cheapest I could find after a quick google.

USB rechargeable, roughly the same size, and variable output.

    Not a bargain.

If they didn't rip you off with delivery it would be a good deal…

  • I'm looking for a good value keychain light that stays on after pressing it. Like the LRI Photon II Pro or X-Light, but they cost around $17.
The Nitecore Tube mentioned by ebosh sounds good, but it needs to be pressed twice to get a usable light (I would prefer one press).
Anyone know of any lights that fit?
