i don't have a base game… does that mean i cannot play by simply buying this one?
This is an expansion to the main game, so you need 'StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty' to play this
you need starcraft 2: wings of liberty to play, so no.

Legacy of the void is coming out and it's going to be a stand alone game so you don't need this or the original to play it.

Picked one up at BIG W Tuggerah. It wasn't in the games section, checked out the drop zone location and was searching through the boxes and found it at the bottom in a locked clear cd case (no retail box). Thanks OP

pretty sure this is a stand alone as well, cause if you have this you don't need WOL (unless you want the single player stuff)
