TW Steel - Grandeur Tech TW135 $208, RRP $875 + Shipping @ Peter's of Kensington

100

I saw this in their promotion email, I searched around it looks like it's a run out model (hence the price).

Most places has it for $400+ so this is a pretty good bargain for a TW watch (even cheaper than USA stores)

  • Oversized black dial.
  • Miyota OS25 chrono movement, accurate up to 1/20th of a second.
  • Case is made from high grade 316L sandblasted steel, coated with an AA-grade PVD black finish (PVD stands for “physical vapour deposition” and is an environmentally-friendly vacuum coating process that results in a tough finish that will retain its appearance for years).

48mm is gigantic. Don't buy this if you have a medium wrist. LOL at the RRP for a mineral crystal and quartz.

    • Yeah pretty expensive for a company who are not even watchmakers. Pretty ordinary designs as well, they look more like cheap asian novelty watches than a premium product.

      • I agree with this design. However I bought a Canteen 50mm. So thanks OP. OP I think highlighting the Canteen may have been better, but regardless you alerted me to something which I think is great.

I bought off ebay at same price. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-TW-Steel-CEO-Canteen-50mm-Wat…

        Went through cashrewards of course.

It is steel but with a titanium coating which looks good.
        This one has sapphire glass.
It come's in 2 sizes in case you don't want 50mm. 45mm, is a bit better for you. Of course you would have a big wrist regardless.

Only bad thing is postage is a bit of a rip off. Regional QLD is $16. But maybe it's couriered. Either way, I bought one.

      • "pretty expensive for a company who are not even watchmakers".
Major Mess, TW Steel are a watchmaking company, not for very long, but the brand was launched 10 years ago. Ton Cobelens one of the founders actually used to design for Maurice Lacroix and Raymond Weil watches etc.

Wow this one looks even uglier than the Citizen titanium one posted earlier. Buy it just for the sake of saving from rrp ? No way.

  • that watch face looks sooo messy and over the top

  • Gonna need a big wrist for a 50mm watch

    • Looks OK on a big wrist - but my TW Steel watch band is just a tad too tight on a big wrist. It might be worth trying on somewhere if you're in doubt…

I couldn't help my self, for the price TW Steel - CEO Canteen 50mm CE1052 $208, RRP $899 it's a no brainer. Im a watch tragic though. Thanks OP.
it will go nicely with my Marvin Sebastian Loeb limit edition Automatic, NOT quartz though (http://www.watchtime.com/wristwatch-industry-news/watches/ma…).

I was just about to say that this is the ugliest watches i have ever seen. Then i clicked on the link to the other watch and learned it can get even worse :)

But that's just my opinion, ugly watch but good deal for people which like it. + from me

    • Admittedly not for everybody, but IMO nothing is uglier than the entire range of Casio G-Shock.

  • has been this price for some time - you could've bought it with the 20% off ebay code back in June…

Why in the world would you shop anywhere else?

  • Review of the one I purchased, as Zippy7 mentioned, it has been available for less in the past.
This review from 2012 states it was available then for well south of $200.00! US dollars perhaps, but…(http://forums.watchuseek.com/f67/tw-steel-ceo-canteen-50mm-r…)
