Recommendation for Best Pet Vacuum (Via Altitude Rewards)

Hi all,

Looking for some recommendations & help in choosing the best pet vacuum.
Would like to redeem via Altitude Rewards. Preferably less than 80-100,000 points or so!

Here are the current vacuums available in the Rewards scheme: https://altituderewards.com.au/public/redeem_category.aspx?d…

We have tiles & carpet across our home. Our main rug (dark blue) is always covered in pet hair, which accumulates very quickly (a white, long-haired cat) and our ancient vacuum is useless at removing any of the hair.

I've heard good things about Dysons and Mieles - what are your recommendations?

And what do you prefer… bagless, upright, cordless etc? I'm really unclear about the pros / cons of each, as our cheapo vacuum hasn't been updated in 7+yrs.

Would really appreciate any insights.
Thanks folks!

    Miele cat & dog.

    • Thanks! I've heard of those but unfortunately it's not available via my Rewards.

The only Miele vacuum available is a Mini one, which I don't think sounds like enough!

There's quite a few Dysons though - eg Handstick, Animal Handstick etc.. would you know anything about those?

      Thanks in advance. :)

      • I use a few Dysons (for work), & I find they're not better than the other brands at all.
        I highly recommend Nilfisk.

Yes, Miele cat & dog. We have 2 in our house. 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs. We have a cat, a dog, 3 very messy daughters with long hair (& myself). Floor boards, rugs, tiles all good. Our first Miele cat dog is over 10 years now, still going strong.

    • Thanks for your thoughts! That sounds really handy.

Unfortunately it's not available via my rewards (only a Miele Mini vacuum is).

There's quite a few Dysons though, eg Animal, Upright, Handbarrel etc. Would you recommend any of those?

      Thanks. :)
