I need a simcard for it. will use sms for alerts but we can call into it & access its gps position, so i need something cheap with at least a 365 day expiry
I have had a quick search but its pretty confusing

If aldimobile isn't good, vodafone has a 365 prepaid plan, i think the minimum is $20/year though.
Poor product. Only runs on 2G. Telstra is switching off 2G end of next year and they have the best coverage and reception. Toss up then between Optus and Vodafone, Vodafone does offer 365 day prepaid. May as well have gotten a $10 3G Telstra phone that lasts longer battery wise than that.
This…Call them and check if it supports 3G if not then I'd return it and get one that plugs into the home phone.
Optus and Vodafone will be ditching 2G by the end of next year as well probably
