So no one Xbox One/Xbox1 Gamer in OB ?

    • +2

You may need to give it more than an hour and ten minutes, but you'll find there is less support for the Xbone than the PS4 even here… For whatever reason.

Responding about the lack of responses just paints the wrong image. Whereas I'd only respond about the lack of exclusives! BAM

      • Thats right..No support for Xbone. Poor Microsoft :(

        • Meh. They did it to themselves. They walk out like they own the videogame industry and go "HEY, DRM, GET OVER IT, LOSERS!" and then Sony's like "We won't do that to you <3" so Microsoft take it back. It looks bad. It's bad business practice.

Not only that, but Microsoft say Xbone will never ship without a kinect. Why not? There are no decent kinect games unless you like dancing games! On top of that, they said Rareware would become a kinect exclusive development company. Then BAM, kinect is optionally removed from bundles because nobody uses it for videogames anymore and Rareware's new title (and 30 of their old ones) are coming to the Xbone without kinect.

Microsoft are playing all the wrong cards. I'm a long time console player and I own both PS3 and Xbox360 and love them both to death, and I can't justify either new console. They're supposed to be videogame consoles, and yet they have hardly a handful of exclusives between them. E3 this year showed that there are definitely games coming….. Just hope you like Open World sandbox games and Female Protagonists, otherwise no games for you!!

Gears 4 looks good though… but so did Dead Rising 3 and Order 1886.

        • @FrankMcFuzz: Can i download through Live Gold. have 1 yr sub with XB1

        • @ozyboy: Gears 4 won't even be out 1 year from now. Much like the rest of both console's exclusive videogames.

        • -1

          @FrankMcFuzz:

          Halo 5: Guardians
          Gears of War Ultimate Edition
          Fable Legends
          Forza 6
          Rise of the Tomb Raider

Is a lot of exclusives for the end of 2015 IDK what you're talking about. Enough exclusives to keep me happy till next year and that's with out multiplat games.

        • +1

          @Jetship:
          Fable Legends is on PC
Rise of the Tomb Raider is also on Xbox 360
Gears of War Ultimate Edition is also on PC

So, yeah, for the most part, you need to read up on your terminology, because exclusive means: restricted to the person, group, or area concerned.

And half of what you said isn't exclusive. And, well, racing games are always the same every year and Halo Guardians is made by 343 Industries. If you're a fan of the franchise pre-Halo 4, you know how foreboding that is.

What is it with this generation of console owners claiming that their game is exclusive when it's available elsewhere? If I hear another PS4 owner say that The Last Of Us is a PS4 exclusive I'm going to rip my hair out.

        • -1

          @FrankMcFuzz:

Well when people are talking about consoles they usually talk about consoles not PC. People compare PS4 to Xbox one.. so they are "exclusive" in that sense. I hate when people say "it comes out on pc" blah blah WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE CONSOLES. Can you play Rise of the tomb raider, Fable legends or Gears of war on ps4? Nope you cannot so that means they "are" exclusive to Xbox. Remember we are talking about XBOX V PS4 not Xbox V PC..

        • +1

@Jetship: But…. They're not exclusive to Xbox because they're on other platforms….. We're talking about games in general, and you can get those elsewhere. I mean, I see your point. It just so happens that your point is dumb.

        • -2

          @FrankMcFuzz:

Cool, that's your opinion so we'll leave it at that. Have a great night. :)

        • +1

@Jetship: Actually, you can play Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4. It's coming out in 2016, confirmed today by the developer: http://au.ign.com/articles/2015/07/23/rise-of-the-tomb-raide…

        • @Tyrus: It was always confirmed; it's a timed exclusive and always has been, but it's nice to have a generalized release date. That also means, if it has a PS4 release date, that it will also have a PS3 release date. But hey, let Jetship have his 'exclusives'.

And remember kids; If it's on everything but PS4, it's still exclusive to Xbone!

        • +1

@FrankMcFuzz: I was more replying to Jetship's defense of, "Can you play Rise of the tomb raider, Fable legends or Gears of war on ps4?" as most people believed Rise of the Tomb Raider would be console exclusive at least (Xbox/PC) and not on PS4.

I honestly don't know why Microsoft wastes money on these timed deals. Sony does as well, but they have tons of exclusive first-party franchises to back them up (God of War, inFAMOUS, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted) and new IPs (Bloodborne, The Order: 1886, Knack, DriveClub, Dreams, Horizon, Until Dawn). It's pretty much a given that none of these games will ever also be on PC. Look back at the PS2 and PS3-era exclusives and you'll see that.

Microsoft literally have Halo, Gears and Forza when it comes to first-party developed in-house exclusives for Xbox One, and the pathetic thing is some of these series have a few entries on PC (Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Halo 1 & 2), making them not truly Xbox exclusive. PC is not an Xbox platform.

        • +2

@Tyrus: There are actually heaps of Xbone exclusives coming, but people seem to forget them, ESPECIALLY Xboners (Xbox one owner = Xboner). Scalebound, Crackdown, Recore, Gears 4, Sunset Overdrive, Halo, Forza I guess. But the audience for the console seems to only want to keep buying Forza over and over again.

The sad truth of the current games industry is that if you get a Wii-U and decent PC, you're only missing out on Bloodborne, Infamous and Sunset Overdrive. 3 games on these consoles that released in 2013. Soon enough this will change, obviously, but it's been a very, very long time in console-years. As you said, look at the PS2 era. It's so difficult to find something that WAS multi-platform or a remake during that time, and now we've got the absolute inverse.

Hopefully next year we see some more Recore and Scalebound; my two most anticipated games on the Xbox One, so that they can win me, an ex-xbox360-fanboy, back into the ecosystem. And less Forza. Show less Forza. I don't care.

        • +1

@FrankMcFuzz: Xbox One owners definitely need to support Crackdown and Quantum Break, I know I will. As for ReCore and Scalebound, with those being third-party developed, I'm always a little hesitant to consider them full exclusives when so many games in the 360 era jumped ship later on (Dead Rising 2, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden 2 as a few examples). And you're right, Xbox fans seem fine with having Forza thrown in their faces as an annual franchise since 2011, so it's no surprise MS mostly just stick to that, Halo, and Gears. That needs to change with more titles.

As for your second paragraph, I sort of agree. It's taking a bit too long for the 'new' generation of consoles to gain some momentum and there's way too many remakes, remasters, and ports. But you've left out a lot of games you can't play on Wii U or PC, regardless of their critical reception. DriveClub, Knack and The Order: 1886 also are new PS4 exclusive IPs this gen (none to add on from the Xbox side aside from Sunset, like you said), and games like Killzone, The Last of Us, LittleBigPlanet, and upcoming titles like Until Dawn, Dreams, Horizon, Persona 5, Disagea 5, Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted all can't be played on PC or Wii U - but yeah you're right, that last lot is only available in 2016, not right now.

Anyways, this thread's about the Xbox One and you're right, I hope ReCore and Scalebound do well. I'm also (guiltily) looking forward to Halo 5: Guardians, despite how much I hate how MS relies on this one franchise so much and the crappy changes that 343i have made (no split-screen anymore, microtransactions).

        • @Tyrus: Well I was implying from this generation. The last generation lasted for almost a decade, anyone who was serious about games had at least one of them.

On the list of crappy changes 343 made, you forgot to add "The worst ending of a videogame ever". Thanks Halo 4. Oh yeah, 343? We get to fight the Didact? QUICK, TAP A MASTER CHIEF! TAP IT! TAP IT HARDER!!! You saved erf, yey.

Also, just as a point of interest, look up Until Dawn's developers. Go through their catalog. If you looked closely, you've now lost all hope in that game. I don't trust a developer to come up with a new, moral-choice-changing game mechanic when their best game is a PS-Move basketball game. (I'm sure there's still a slim chance it won't be literally the worst thing) And I was trying my best to forget (see: ignore) Knack and Order 1886 lol.

PS4 Owner here, aswell as all my mates.

    • Y did i buy Xbox1 then. No regret buying on Xbox1. Loves it.

      • Ps4 is a more powerful console that would have something to do with why more ps4 owners then Xbox one.

        • but One is better with Media Streaming/Apps other features too.

        • @ozyboy: But it's a "Gaming console" people want best experience at what the console is designed for.

Though the new streaming from Xbox one to windows 10 does look appealing it wont make me change to an Xbox one anytime soon. since i also have a game pc lol

        • If one wants a powerful machine they wouldn't buy a console :P

        • PC will cost more then $2k where Console will cost less $500.

        • @ozyboy: Why are you comparing a gaming pc to a console?

        • @holden93: Cause if you looking for Powerful Machine…Consoles are not that powerful and not expensive if you compare to PC.

        • -1

@ozyboy: I know but i was talking about the PS4 a more powerful console compared to the Xbox one.

I have both a PS4 and Gaming PC.

        • @holden93: Good on you mate.. So which game do you play offline/Online.

Can i play online against PC or PS4 guys ? or i can play against only Xb1 gamers ?

        • @ozyboy: Each console/PC can only play against others who have the same console/PC.

Mainly play FPS games such as Battlfield 4/Advanced warfare and some GTA V. im mainly holding off spending money on other games till November as that's when lots of new and awesome games are released.

        • +2

PC will cost more then $2k where Console will cost less $500.

          False.

        • @serideth: can you buy any powerful PC for gaming less then 2K ?

        • @Themojorising: The sweet spot for performance / price is the Great tier. You’ll be able to max out most games at 1080p with close to 60 FPS and get a playable framerate with the most demanding games.

Value remains really good up through the Outstanding tier, which will run almost any game amazingly well and at high framerates.

As per the link both prices are more then $900.. so how can you say PC can't be expensive then console.

        • @ozyboy:

Nowhere did I say a PC would be cheaper than a console.

You said a powerful gaming PC will cost $2k - this is a decent site that shows otherwise if you wanted to look at building a PC but not sure how much bang for buck you will get.

        • @Themojorising: Personally, I bought a top-end machine that can play all the next gen titles for around the 1.5k mark. I could've still been able to play those games for less than that though.

There's also the difference that I've seen 'deals' for the Witcher 3 on here at $69 and $79 on Xbone and PS4, and I paid $50 on day of release on PC, and the same goes for every other modern title. PC games are always cheaper everywhere, not even counting the 6 or so games you can get in a Humble bundle for a buck to 5 bucks weekly and crazy steam sales. The most expensive platform pays for itself with the money you save on the videogames for it.

Except, of course, if you're an avid videogame enthusiast like myself you'll probably spend a lot more money on videogames for PC because there ARE more videogames for PC. Oh, you're excited about Backwards Compatibility? Sorry I couldn't hear you over Thief and Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall on my PC.

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

I agree with all the points you made - and looking at building a machine myself with a similar budget to yours sometime soon. I guess not everyone has the upfront cost of building a PC though/.

As a personal thing, I prefer the flexibility/functionality of PC's. While I do like my gaming with the mouse/keyboard - I generally require a PC for other things as well.

It's nice to have a console for some split screen lounge gaming but I do so little of that these days. I have an Xbox 360 for now and might get an Xbox One down the track someday

        • That's why i bought Console to have Lounge Gaming experience and ask Gamers to advise which games they play regularly

        • @ozyboy:

I've been fiddling about with battlefield 4 and that zombie game whose name escapes me (not dead rising) on my room mates xbone one.

As for xbox 360, I play a lot of GTA, been fiddling about here and there with the freebie titles that come with gold, revisit Skyrim and Just Cause 2 as well….

I think my end goal there, is to set up a gaming PC, and connect it up like a console using big screen steam mode and whatnot as well.

        • @Themojorising: i have just downloaed BattleField 4. Will try online mode. I am not a great shooter.

        • Yeah I get killed. A lot.

I don't get too hung up on leader boards, ranks, etc, I just try to have fun.

You inevitably get better with practice anyway

  • You should really buy Tomb raider it's on sale with gold membership. It's only $10! well worth it, also don't forget to download the 2 games with gold if you haven't already. You should also buy 1 month of EA Access because you'll unlock a bunch of games to play for the month. You'll most likely like Plants vs Zombies. I've been playing borderlands 2 lately :)

    • I have 1 year EA with 1 year Gold Subs but haven't played online or download any games other than mentioned above.

    • +1 for Tomb Raider

  • Horizon 2 is the only thing that gets spun up regularly

    waiting for F5

    • NFS Rival isn't any good ? or The Crew ?

      • Both are meh, NFS reboot is coming out later this year, it's looks like underground type of NFS looks great!

  • +1

The Witcher 3 is really good. Also sleeping dogs definitive edition is on sale for $20 on the Marketplace, great game.

  • Got a new racing wheel so been hitting forza 5 and horizon 2 lately. Little bit of MKX Halo and gtav. Bought a bunch of games off gumtree a few months back and barely played them - Fifa15, Nba2k15, shadow of mordor, destiny - havent even touched the last two. Before that played far cry 4, which was good, AC Unity which i also liked, and COD AW which was ok - i actually sold these 3 after iwas finished with them for more than what i payed !

  • i'm playing AC4 (free as part of the Gold deal) and DR3.

  • Destiny

  • Everyone is playing different game. The similarity is that everyone love FPS game. How much time do you guys spend all day on games. Is it every day or just over the weekend fun ?

  • I have…

AC' unity and black flag - never played them yet
Sunset Overdrive - good fun but only played once
Forza Horizon 2 - Great car game and beautiful
Ryse: Son of rome - havn't opened it yet
Dead Rising 3 - havn't opened it yet
Fifa 15 - always play with friends home
Destiny - good game online with friends
Battlefield 4 - used to play a lot, not much lately but if you are not good a shooter…
Rayman Legends - Plays it with girlfriend great fun !

    • how is the online Fifa 15. I will try tonight. Never played online. Even i don't have any good FUT and don't have coins to buy any good player.

      • It is good when it works. Play with Real, Barca or Bayern these are the good teams I will say.

        • So you can choose real teams rather than creating your own FUT ?

        • @ozyboy:
That is correct, you can only use real teams not your own FUT.
I mean I have never ever played against someone who had his own FUT.

        • @akastyl13: But that would be Online with Friends not a Season Mode right ?
My GT is VanshViaan, if you would like to add and then we can hava game over the weekend.

  • Got my XB1 from Big W clearance and am loving it.

I've only played Witcher 3 so far as I normally finish a game before moving on and W3 is a big game. Elder Scrolls will be next.

Looking forward to lots of games later this year including Fallout 4, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Fable Legends, Mad Max, Divinity: Original Sin.

When backwards compatibility comes there are a few 360 games I'd like to revisit.

  • Still a bit short on quality games but hopefully they're not too far off.

Red Dead Redemption is the one I really cannot wait for but somehow I doubt it'll be better than the original….how can it be? Flawless game.

    • @mattress can you play online too ?

      • +1

I remember the mexican stand off at the start of every game.

        Ridiculously stupid fun

      • +1

Yeah, you sure can. Best game ever, on any console IMO.

        • That game has the most powerful ending of a sandbox game, if not any game in general.

  • How much time you guys spend playing Online/Single mode every week. I only get 1 hour over the weekend.
