When you can buy return tickets for approx $500 I wouldn't say $1075 was incredibly low prices. However maybe for the time of year and this airline it is a good deal.
Pointless comment. $500 would only be available during sale periods (of which they aren't running now). Besides, qantas is a better airline than the ones offering $500 in the past (jetstar/airasia).

All I'm saying is that this is not incredibly low compared to what you can pay.
There is no rule on this site that every deal has to be "incredibly low" price.
If you can find something better, post it.

Is this for HND or NRT?
That's a good question because I read that QF will change from NRT to HND. Best check on your preferred dates.
If it's for direct flights it'll be to HND as from 31 July QF will shift its Tokyo flights from NRT to HND. However that being said QF are selling cheaper SYD to Tokyo flights by routing you through BNE.
Just note - most (if not all) flights of Qantas to Japan are actually code share. So you might end up paying more and simply getting on a Jetstar flight.
I've seen Jetstar returns for $400 so it really depends on if you think flying with 'Qantas' is better than flying for 'Jetstar' and buying luggage and over-priced food.Are you 100% i dont think thats correct, booking my flight recently the seat configuration was different for one.
I know many people whom have flown Qantas to Japan, and this would be a 1st time i have heard this, i have also never had this also.
All Nippon airways will fly between haneda and Sydney from 11/dec.
direct flight to Tokyo from syd are 3 daily (QF,JL,NH)
I am waiting for opening special fare from NH.They don't operate to Australia, do they?
