      Excellent drop if you like smoke and peat. Not something I would use to introduce someone to Scotch though.

      I'm a whisky guy who loves smoky/peaty.

      Ardbeg & Laphroaig are my go to.

          Haven't tried that. Reviews say only lightly peaty and mostly describe it as sweet which isn't really my thing. But I'll still give it a go.

          Lighter peated, it's a relative thing for an Islay malt. It still has the iodine note and it tastes more complex, at least to me.

        I literally finished my scotch bottle under 10 minutes ago, this is a sign!
        Aldi site says 700ml btw. Shipping is $7 for me in QLD, but you can add 11 more bottles of wine or other spirits to that for same $7. Free delivery over $200

      Ballantines is alright for casual drink once you start going for the 21YO+

      Ballantines 30YO is pricey but one of the smoothest whiskies I've had the pleasure of drinking.
