Juggling Balls $3/Set (50% off) @ Kmart

130

No more clowning around. After a friend tried to teach me juggling a couple of weeks ago, I decided to keep an eye out for some balls to play with at home.

The cheapest I could find on eBay were about $8/set including postage, so when I saw these at half price for $3/set at Kmart I thought they were a good deal. I bought two sets in store since I figured they'd also make a good gift (or maybe I'll learn to juggle 6 at once). Quality and size (about 7.3cm diameter) seem decent.

According to the website, the price was dropped on the 12th of July. No expiry date listed. Website showing stock available in many stores.

  • Oh, a noun

  • Is there something special about these balls that make them more suitable for juggling than say, tennis balls- which would be more versatile around the home and/or tennis court?

And call me Pythagoras, but they look like cubes… not balls.

So $5 for 3x square hackysacks that arent spherical and consequently harder to juggle, but are marketted as "helpful to learn juggling"?

    • When you're learning to juggle, I think it's helpful to have balls that don't bounce out of your hands, or bounce across the room when you inevitably drop them or cross their paths in your air.

These balls are filled with plastic pellets or something similar so they don't bounce.

Also, they are spherical - they are just pushed into a square shape by the box but that doesn't last long.

Also, they are $3 / set, not $5.

      • Gotcha. That sounds reasonable, cheers (plus vote).

  • These are good for pregnant women during labour too. Distracts the mind when they name the colours while banging them together.
