Your title says "Why shipping from China takes so long"
That is to be understood as a complain about the time.

        Just saying….

  • Guangdong is a province, Guangzhou is the capital city. I don't know what's happening there though.

It seems that it came back and forth.

I would suggest you to contact seller and let them check it for you…

I wouldn't trust those tracking records. Even some local tickets I've been given had errors such as movements of totally unrelated shipments.

  • Best ask them. In China, when you order from a big store like jd.com to a big city like Guangzhou. You can usually get it delivered in the afternoon if you order in the morning. And get it delivered in the next morning when you order in the afternoon.

  • OP how long did you think it would take to arrive to Australia?

Considering regular parcel from Sydney to Melb takes about 3-4 days…

You dont get it, i am not complaining about the time i am just amazed about the back and forth. Or do you ship something from Syd to Melb and it goes Sydney - Canberra - Sydney - Canberra - Sydney ….

      • It happened with me once before. It did go back and forth couple of times then it went for a journey around Australia after that back to Sydney then finally arrived to my address.

    • only if you are lucky

  • Could be worse, I bought an Apple product with overnight delivery and it's been scanned in at a depot which changed to "in transit" and arriving at the same depot 2 days later? I called up TNT and they have nfi where it is seeing as it was supposed to be delivered 5 days ago lol. Luckily it's just for a CD drive and isn't anything urgent.

    • This reminds me, I bought a monitor from eBay once. I live in ACT, it ended up going to Perth because of the mess up done by the courier.

  • the package got a problem on custom clear.
