I also thought there was something fishy about this deal…

  • Thanks :) much appreciated and good timing

thanks kitsch. Always useful to have a voucher on hand.

FYI, if you park in the Secure across the road, the Aquarium usually have a discount voucher you can grab.

  • Nice one OP, cheers.

FYI all I used the identical version of this voucher last year and it was accepted without a problem; but it might be best to take a printed version though, as last year some peeps reported that they were unsuccessful when they tried just showing it on the screen of their phone.

thanks, but i just sneak in anyways like a true hultla !!

I went last year with my girlfriend using the 2 for 1 deal and it was still only barely worth the ticket price

Nice find OP, but the aquarium needs to down their prices or up their game

    • Maybe let people fish in a couple of the tanks?

  • can i use it for myself twice ?!?!?

    • You might be able to convince a stranger in the line to use it with you, so you pay half each.

      • A stranger's just a friend you haven't met.

        • we should go

  • FYI

10% off is the norm when you buy online.
20% off is pretty easy to get, the city circle tram have 20% off vouchers, probably available at most other tourist places as well.

How much is entry for one person?
I do recall (and I even contacted) a woman who posted here about her selling tickets from her hotel who get them cheap - she was happy to sell to Ozbargainers. Don't quote me but I think it was $22 per ticket?

Anyone know if this is a goer?

    • +3

Not She, He. I posted the deal. Yes, this is an ongoing offer with us still.

      • Sorry dude!
Are regular tickets more than $44 a pop?
I assume I have to buy in person, in the line, on the day to get this 2 for 1 deal. I can't apply further discounts online for example?

        • +1

It is $38.00 per adult ticket. You can book online and get 20% off the price, show the printed voucher or on your mobile.

Our tickets @ $22.00 each work out much cheaper for individuals and also cheaper when this 2 for 1 offer is not available.

        • @tendliya:

Really appreciate the reply - that $38 with 20% off plus half off that sounds golden.
          About $15 a pop, I'm in.

        • +2

@hamwhisperer: That is not correct. This 2 for 1 offer cannot be used with any other offers which includes their online 20% discount offer. This means, with the voucher posted in this deal, it is $38 for 2 tickets, so $19 each. Hope this clarifies.

        • @tendliya:

          No worries, thanks.
Also one last thing, I heard the line / wait at the entry can be really long and annoying, anyone else know? Cause to save $6 if I lose 35 minutes waiting or whatever, I'd just pay the $6

          ta

        • @hamwhisperer: Not sure about the queue times all the time. I am pretty sure there will be downtimes when the queue won't be too long.

  • ..Good deal - Just went few weeks ago….If I go again " fishes gonna ask - Why again? "

  • Hah I check the old post as we went there on the weekend, but it was expired then. You must have been right on it. Good find!

  • If only sydney has this deal too :(

  • better off to claim it via Cokerewards :-)

  • Do I just print this voucher and present it when I am purchasing ticket at the counter. Never done this before. Planning to go this weekend and this would be very handy.

    • That's my understanding but I wouldn't mind confirmation of this too, anyone know?

  • Do I just need to print this voucher and present at the entry at melbourne aquarium ? there is no other hidden thing right ? would be great if someone confirms.

Thanks OP. I'm going today and wanted the best price possible for my family of 2 adults, 2 children, which I thought was to buy a family ticket online for $79 (compared to the walkup price of $96 - daylight robbery).

Now I can buy 2x adult tickets for $38 and 2x childrens for $22, a total of $60. With the $4 parking, it's a cheap day out for the family.

    Many thanks!

      • My damn printer :( can't print it! >:(
