Rays Outdoor Epic Fail - EOFY order cancelled due to no stock

During the EOFY sale with rays outdoors I managed to order some socks, umbrellas, headtorch, a shirt and pair of workpants. Just received this notification today that NOTHING will be supplied. I'm sure more of these messages will be going out to others soon.

Damn!

It happens unfortunately. Did you just want to announce it or something?

Edit thanks for the neg! The thread is here if you want to discuss it there. I've only chosen to click & collect my Rays orders, so I know its there to pickup. No one seems to have had any luck with delivery.

      Fixed ;)

  • Seems to be an issue for this company. Lots of people got screwed a few months back with a BBQ sale promotion too. They have a bad habit of selling stock they do not have it appears. Wastes everyones time.

  • might be same thing going to happen to me. 10 days nothing delivered, called up and heard one of the items not in stock and they are going to refund. Pity me!!

  • I bought stuff twice from Ray's Outdoors and both times they sent me an email saying there was no stock. I got the refund for the first transaction and I am STILL waiting on the second refund.

  • Yep. I also took the gamble as there were no any stock left at my local for click and collect, so I selected delivery. I e-mailed them yesterday asking for an ETA, they replied today saying they don't have the stock.

They probably rarely sell their clearance items normally.. Fortunately, Spackbase has brought it to their attention that they need to work on their inventory system (by posting the deal), so hopefully next time they won't be so inundated with follow-ups, refunds and negative experiences.

  • The issue here is that they are supposed to let customers know at least 5 days max after the online purchase, not after two weeks!!
Anyone going for a CC charge back?

The issue I have is that I ordered:
    Head torch $4.95
    5 x Umbrellas ($1 each) $5.0
    Delivery $7.95

The refunded me the umbrellas and so I bought a $12.95 head torch!!!

    Fuming…
