What's the point to by then.

    • Some people loaded with cash they want to collect shoes or only wear in carpet environment

    • They are marketed as running shoes but seeing as their soles wear down quickly if you intend to use them for running they are better off as everyday lifestyle shoes which should increase their lifespan. The point in buying them is they are really comfortable because of the full length boost midsole and their prime knit upper.

You seem desperate to justify the purchase of these shoes featuring visible built-in obsolescence.

        • +5

Not really, just giving people that are actually interested in buying these shoes some advice and answering ms's question, that's all. No need for the negativity.

    • For this price I would buy Free Runs… which I did, but cheaper.

      • +1

Free Runs 3.0-5.0 aren't as comfortable as Ultra Boosts but they're definitely more durable thats for sure! But the two shoes are two completely different beasts, people buying free runs are looking a more natural/barefoot experience while people that want Ultra Boosts are looking for comfort.

        • I have not worn Ultra Boosts before but Free Runs are comfortable AF.

people buying free runs are looking a more natural/barefoot experience

That's not entirely true, I didn't get them for the "bare-foot" experience. That's like saying people buy Jordans because they play basketball.

          @WoodenSpoon:
That's fair enough, i've owned both and i'm just speaking from experience and generalising the kind of people would be looking for each shoe. But definitely, free runs are great shoes and yes they are comfortable, I never said they weren't but imo not as comfortable as the Ultra Boost. But they two completely difference shoes.

Anyways you should definitely try some adidas shoes with boost technology, you might be surprised by them. Thanks :)

Ordered a pair before this post.

Tried this on at Adidas store and loved it but couldn't justify paying $220 retail for them. At this price I couldn't resist. It is one of the most comfortable running shoes I have ever tried and I own a few pairs of runners (I actually do run in them). I also have the Nike flyknit free runs as mentioned in a few posts here.
Completely different shoe and different running feel. You can't go wrong with either shoes.

    Ugly shoe. Ugly price.

      Then don't buy them, simple.

Zx flux still looks better and cheaper to boot

Bought these 2 weeks ago from wiggle for $180.22. This is an awesome price!

Yeah, they have Adidas' AdiWear soles.. Adidas do use continental rubber soles on their Adios boost, Supernova glide boost, Tempo boost shoes though.. which are all cheaper than the Ultra Boost.

  • more like adigas

  • I own a pair of these, other owners may weigh in as well but I've found these shoes to be very narrow and wish I had got a half or full size larger. Going back to Mizuno after I get through these…
