I have one…also bought it for $10. For the cost of what it is, I guess you cannot fault this too much….but having said that, the battery goes kaput after a few months. now it does not hold charge more than 2 mins. Suction power also decreases greatly over time. But it is cheap :)

Probably good to open up and mod it with big lipo back :)

  • Have these portables gotten any better over the years? I remember buying one a few years back, claimed to have 36 minutes battery life and the thing was struggling after 5 or 10 mins.

I'd need convincing before buying one again. $10 is a bargain only if it works.

So you'll have to find out if it sucks so it doesn't suck, or if it sucks coz it doesn't suck

      • +3

I see what you did there

  • +1

    it sucks in either way.

  • +2

these things are extremely weak. not much of an advantage over a dust pan. Although i guess sucking up fluids may be off use to some.

    • +3

Agree. They are slower to use and less effective than a dust pan. Not worth $10. Speaking as previous owner.

  • +1

    Landfill junk.

  • Hmm I might get one…

Although just read the reviews… 'Landfill junk' maybe not

  • Just what i need another ozito tool

  • +1

I got pretty much the same one from Woolworths for $5.
I use it to pick up hairs in the bathroom.
It isn't good for anything else.

    • Guess it would save on gloves. Or maybe other people aren't as freaked out by touching hair in the bathroom as I am. First world problems.

      • It's not about being afraid of picking up hairs or rubbish. It's about the difficulty of picking up strands of hair quickly and efficiently.

        • the curly ones are easy to pick up

Same quality build as the $1 ones from Godfreys!

http://i.imgur.com/BtUi9L1.jpg bought mine. i still saw like less than 10 units left on the shelf. (belmont WA)

for 30$, it is just OKish…..or even mehhh.. but 10$ with charging dock..man i really feel the bargain here.

no extra dust filter included in the package, and i have no idea where to get in the future(it just needs to be water washed as what it says on the box).

it is completely capable to pick up anything the size of that nozzle (hole) it has. (assuming you are not trying to vacuum some iron block).

perfect for small applications like bed side, in your car, without using the giant-loud-wired-too-long-handle-vacuum.

the reason i bought this: for my car. And also some area near the floor of my desk(carpet). and too lazy to get the huge vacuum all the way from 1st floor and wake my giant-size landlady.

too bad my internet is too slow for me to upload a video. i would love to buy i guess this would do for now.

EDIT1: The part between the dock and unit is a metal piece looks exactly like a 3.5mm headphone jack…wow…….the true universal charging dock for almost anything that i just bought for 10$ as an add?

EDIT2: really do not OVERUSE it. small vacuum, small area. big vacuum, big area. Otherwise you ended up spend more time to clean up this vac than tidy up whatever you were trying to clean. (Well, i like my tool being cleaned properly after use, you get what i mean).

  • Cheers OP ;)

  • @6v, you're probably better off on your hand and knees sucking up debris / dust with a straw..

  • I have the ryobi one+ which is great but yeh starting to die, had it for about 3 years now and with the 18v 4A battery it lasts weeks.
Would like a wet dry but yeh I'll have a closer look at one of these

    • it seems the one+ 18v batts are outlasting the actual tool it comes with

      • I believe the bearings near the fan are worn out or the housing for it if you give it a slight shake you get noises that shouldn't be.

I have a few one+ tools and the vac has a hard life.

  • Must resist…

I bought one this morning and it's been great for a quick clean around the edges of my rooms where Consuela (my robot vac) can't reach. It's main use will be to clean up saw dust and mess outside when I'm DIYing.

    • Nice reporting. Will get one tomorrow.

      • I smashed a glass last night and it came in handy. Definitely worth it if you don't already have a cordless vac.

  • Got one this morning in Hawthorn, they were marked at $30 but scanned at 10. They had about 10 on the shelf.

  • How does this compare with the Dyson V6?

    • Can't compare a Hyundai to a Bentley
