    You have to be careful when comparing laminate flooring because the price points don't indicate the quality.There is a lot to consider.

    • Go ahead.

    • Mainly thickness, then the way they click into each other ….

  • Looks like its worth $5 it would be more at home on the sides of a 1970s stationwagon

  • agree there. lots to consider. cheap for the product but laminated boards usually join together so when a repair is needed u need to start from the edge/wall n work in till u get to the damaged board then lay them back out

    vinyl i have been lookin at are amazing. easy to replace and durable. damage 1. cut it n replace it done. but then again tiles are to consider too. i had decision-making

      @Skitzout

      Which product are you considering?

  • Some are made from several layers of thinly cut pieces of wood that are glued together with the grains running parallel to each other, then a sheet of paper with a photographic image of wood grain is placed on top, then finally covered by a final sheet of laminating plastic. They look just like the real thing.Others are made from a very thin slice of "real" timber glued to a mdf backing.

      Don't keep us in the dark. Which one is better?

      • +1

        The real timber is obviously the better choice if your prepared to pay more.

        • That was (obviously) not what I meant. Bunnings or Masters laminate?

        • @bargained:
          Which ever one is real timber,no specs on the websites decision pending

        • @bargained: when I was doing our floors, I found that Bunnings laminate was generally better with the key test.

    go vinyl. easy to fix. cheaper. no swelling. these have the gleam advantage like tiles. nice shine as opposed to vinyl. all is much for much. depends on the individual

  • Depends on the application. Want to do something on the cheap because you are not fussed for longevity then this is spot on. Then again as people said vinyl would be the best cut and shut.

    You can get tiles with the wood look, good for bath rooms
